do mine next! lol I use the powerstop z36 towing kit in front for obvious reasons, probably still have another 10k left aka another year but id like to upgrade all my lines and flush the fluild the next time. Guess ill have some learning to do. Might also swap calipers as mine are very crusty.

 

But he's not gonna be boiling the fluid. plus DOT4 absorbs a lot more moisture than DOT3

Anyone in Hopkinton (MA) area looking for a beer fridge? I'm letting it go for the low price of Free-fiddy. I'm making space in my basement for our home fitness cult gym and it's gotta go. They have been on for about 30k. Pads were a tight fit on install, noisy for first fly down street slam on brakes, but since then they have been great. Rotors never showed when it sat until recently.

 

I'm pretty sure my Yamaha Grizzly says DOT4 for some reason. I don't use the brakes on it very heavily, I'm usually in situations where engine braking is enough to keep me at the speeds I'd like.

That could be. Or he's delusional and thinks his taco is fast and nimble like the evo.

 

Not that unusual; in 2015 you could spec a 2500 Ram to a GCWR of over 25k if you opted for the diesel, and they all used the same braking system. In hilly terrain that's a lot of potential heat.

 

Wonder what the service interval on it is spec'd at. Cause iirc DOT4 should really be changed yearly due to the rate at which it absorbs moisture vs DOT3 which really only needs to be changed every few years unless you're tracking/ driving like a douche/ or towing frequently.

 

Again operating from memory I'm pretty sure my owner's manual called for 5 years/60 k for brake fluid, tranny fluid, and coolant.

Edit- Apparently the 64k service is the recommended one for brake fluid, transmission/t-case fluid, according to the manual. No mention of coolant.

 

How's the dust? Not a huge concern as i don't have time to wash my vehicles much; but as such if they're really dusty they tend to stain the wheels due to the infrequency in which I wash them.

 

well my matte summer wheels are always cleaned easily using Dr. Beasleys. if there is much dust there it definitely doesn't stay. My oem wheels in winter, look like ass regardless lol. Once that set wears out itll be time for 4runner wheels and 33s as my winter/beater set

anybody know of any good deals on aftermarket skid plates? right now for just getting the ifs front skid best deal i've found is RCI
