I sure hope you are talking about a tent, otherwise: wrong forum!

    Sorry, I'm showing my immaturity.

that sum bitch will be sleeping under the fire! jk. Luckily that has not been an issue. probably will one day. He will be in a tent on the ground. I have a 3 person ground tent in the camp trailer. I'll start calling it the boyfriend tent. :)

Thanks for the reply and that picture. So I assume that metal pin runs along the entire back of the lid and the only areas where it actually hinges are two places on either end? Or are there multiple hinges along the pin? If just two places, then the full length pin is only actually in shear in two places instead of spreading that force out over more joints. Probably not an issue if the plastic is tough enough, which I assume it is since that doesn't seem to be a weak point from the reviews and info I can find.

First ever RTT showed up today. 23Zero Walkabout 62. I've always wanted a RTT ever since they first came out. It was a big part of why I bought my first Tacoma with dreams of camping up in the air. Haters be damned! Installed and testing it out tonight in the driveway as unfortunately I'm on call this weekend. Next weekend I'll get to break it in properly. The tent is amazing quality! I can't tell what I like more. The mattress or the fact that it's almost totally pitch black inside with all the windows shut.

It is fantastic! Mattress is firm but comfy. Quality of tent materials is top notch. The LST tech is amazing! You'll love it

was interested until i saw the soft shell minus the honeycomb top. Also i thought i saw something on their IG about its manual lift with prop rod support? On an SUV that will be a pain.

I was just talking with some friends about @Ripcord GFC build.. What if someone were to DIY build a Vagabond. Might be a fun project. Instead of using aluminum, use smaller and thinner gauge steel. Since steel is stronger than aluminum, it might just work.

Ive also been thinking about getting a Vagabond lately. Id have to coordinate selling my bed rack/tent combo along the way to picking up the tent. Hah! it would be a crazy adventure. Lots to think about.

Price point is there, even with ladder and mattress options cheaper than most out there. Was ready to pull the trigger but when I saw the softshell top and manual lifts, and not shipping till November going to have to see more information on it before making a decision.
