I love to have some copper ground wire out of 10-2 or 12-2 in my kit. Won't rust! Of course, queue the music: It never rains in southern California!

There is a hump on the outside of the frame, where the old upper shock mount is welded. It has to be flat for the reinforcement plate to lay flat on the frame. We also cleaned the frame down to bare metal.

Test fit my new lightbar today. It’s a Federal Signal Legend LED - 360 degree Amber/White.

There’s a traffic advisor on the back too. It’s a utility truck/tow truck spec’d bar.

Replaced my rear ujoint, one bearing cap was completely dry inside and the bearings had turned to dust. No more vibrations and no more squeaking. So stoked.

You got a link to that? I have a similiar but much smaller one on my tractor for when I'm out in the road during the winter, or driving down the highway to a neighbors, but it sure as hell doesn't light up like that!!!

I also was unaware of this. Super clean lunar mist man!

You are doing the shock relocate too right? Just go all in and raise the gas tank too. It's fun. :p

Thanks. Bought it last summer after myself, my GF, my daughter (who is now 5’5) and 50+ lbs dog tried going camping in the xtra cab. Was disastrous. My daughter was probably dangerously stuffed into the jump seats with the dog, who ended up getting car sick and yaking everywhere.

So I went out and bought a double cab.

I’m really not attached to it much. My heart is still with the 98 Ive owned for 20 years and 200k miles.

But as I slowly “de-bro” it from the previous owner and do all the “peace of mind” maintenance it’ll grow on me.

I really do love the space and convenience of the DC though. Haven’t been camping in it to see if the short bed is brutal or not. And I hate the auto tranny.

You’d have to buy it from Federal Signal or a dealer that carries it. This is how mine is set up:

Honestly? Just for shits and giggles. The alley and takedown lights work pretty well at giving me more illumination.

I got a great deal on it from a utility truck manufacturer, so I couldn’t pass it up.
