Can i put 225s on a 3rd gen?

    I dont know much about tires and what not but im trying to get a narrow set of winter tires. Will 225/70/16 be okay? Im looking at the michelin x ice xi2

    I run 255/85r16 on the stock OR wheels. Lots here do. You should be fine.

    Those are pretty small though.

    I'm not sure how wide your wheels are, but a given wheel will only go with so narrow of a tire. I suspect a 225 is going to be too narrow, 235 might be good though.

    225 is way too narrow for these trucks. I wouldn't go any lower than 245 AT MOST...
