In this video they drag the flaps a few times and there doesn't seem to be any significant damage. If it only happens occasionally I wouldn't be too worried. I don't care for the looks, but we got our first lasting snow a few days ago and the flaps are earning their keep...

Flaps are great for the winters. I have Rokblokz. They come off in better weather and when the wheeling starts :burnrubber: Couple pals of mine have them as well and they will flex and are quite durable from what I've seen. Take them off for anything serious though

Hey just adding my two cents in. I picked up the plasticolor mudflaps and was not happy for my use case* (ie my issues may not be a concern for your use case) . Just looking at them, the front side of one had the fiberglass really exposed and the other was slightly covered, and it just looked bad/ unfinished. To install them you gotta use self tapping screws into the fender itself. Something i wasnt too stoked on and would be concerned about ability to stay on while offroading, esp as some screws didn't tighten down. After installing one I realized they are certainly not low profile and didn't clear my 275/70/17s even with modification. Ended up pulling it out and now they are trashed. Will probably look into getting the RokBlokz next, only need a single pair of them though. I got a white truck and the chips from road debris show up alot easier. Probably gonna fill fender holes with spackle or something.

Update: I was able to buy just a front half set from RokBlokz.

Rokbloks I hear are good. I already had a set of plasticolor ones I put in the front to replace the factory ones. Work good but I had to make a small bracket to make them fit.

No, no rubbing on my 275/75/17. The RokBlokz for "oversized tires" come with a tab that allows you to push them back away from the wheel well.
I also did some wheeling in them and they took it like a champ. Bent the metal mounting brackets so probably should have taken them off but I was happy they were still on at least :D

Stock AF. My 68 Bronco and 2000 2.5RS get the mods.
I love my Rekgen flaps. I like that you can adjust inward ot outward to match your wheel/tire setup.
