Wondering if anyone has the same issue and has been able to fix it. My 2013 Tacoma honks with lock and unlock (NOT the beep - I disabled that). I'd love to be able to turn it off as I can definitely feel the side eye from my neighbors. There aren't any aftermarket lights in the drivers side footwell to show an aftermarket alarm and I don't see a module under the hood so I don't think its the KARR alarm but not sure. Any help is appreciated! Y'all rule!

I wish you would disable everybody's locking tooting horn thing. Where I was raised it was normal to toot at a friend when you saw them, just to say hi. Now days, walking thru parking lots I'm always throwing my hand up, waving, as I thought a friend was tooting at me. It's strange, odd, useless to me to need toot the horn when locking or unlocking the door. I must be missing something.

To disable the honk when locking/unlocking this will work on 3rd gen with blue light. 1. Insert the key to TURN ON IGNITION (don't star the engine) 2. TURN OFF IGNITION then press the button by the led bulb 3x rapidly then you'll hear 2 honks or beep and that's it. To enable it do the same process. Hope this helps.

I didn’t know the horn was part of the wireless Lock/Unlock function?
I’ve only heard this with aftermarket alarms.
AFAIK, the only function the horn plays on the wireless entry is for the Panic button?

Is the key fob a genuine Toyota fob?

I honestly have no idea! There aren't any aftermarket buttons/lights anywhere in the footwell or dash so it seems to be somewhat stock(ish) and I just can't get rid of the honk. Have investigated under the hood as well and can't find any battery attachments or separate boxes to tell me anything. Also have buddy's with same year that have no idea what I'm talking about. Desperately trying to save my neighbors. Appreciate the advice regardless!
