Honestly? Just for shits and giggles. The alley and takedown lights work pretty well at giving me more illumination.

I got a great deal on it from a utility truck manufacturer, so I couldn’t pass it up.

Finally get the truck finished up with frame and bed rust squared away. Bed back on everything hooked up.

Now I’ve got an intermittent shake in the steering wheel 55-70mph. Ive recently (a month ago) rebuilt the front end. From bushings, ball joints, steering rack and both hubs. New tires and wheels less than 3 weeks ago.

If it’s not one thing, it’s another.

Were the tires balanced with bed off the truck?

Maybe going back and have them balance the tires again?

Yeah, I’m thinking I’ll probably have them rebalance. Perhaps a weight came off. But I’m having a sneaking suspicion it may be a warped rotor. Awhile back, I had a sticking caliper front passenger side. I replaced the rotors and pads then. Though I’m wondering if it’s sticking again.

Yeah I think you'll end up liking it when camping. Just have to get it setup and configured the way you like it and get rid of that auto ;)

The shorter bed does suck a fair bit. You will for sure notice the difference when you start loading your stuff in. But with the shell on the back, you can really stuff a lot of shit in there! Add that to the ability for all of your passengers to have their own doors and a proper seat... window for the dog to not get sick and it's all worth it. Roll down the windows, put on some good tunes and get in low range... you'll forget about the rest of it soon enough.

Also, just gotta start making memories with that new truck. I had a hard time letting go of an old hippy van of mine. Loved camping and road tripping in that brick and made a ton of great memories.

In the process of doing a coolant flush. Changing the upper and lower radiator hoses while I'm at it. On the upper hose I can still see the yellow and white lines on the hose to see which end attaches to the radiator and which goes to the engine. On the lower hose the markings are gone. New hose has a white line with a blue dot on one end and just a blue line on the other end. Anyone know which end goes where? Does it really matter? Both ends appear to be the same diameter and the shape is the same regardless of which direction I flip it.

When I removed the clamp I was able to see the old markings. White line with blue dot goes to radiator. Blue line goes to engine.

Yep, planning on getting some pods to fit in those square cut outs. Either ball out with some baja designs or just go with brightleds or something more budget friendly
