Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Me, I spent most of the afternoon trying to paint my interior chrome. Failed miserably. Paint ended up with tiny bubbles in every piece where it didn't adhere. Need to sand it down and try again. Think it might have been the high humidity today, even though I was spraying in an air conditioned building.

    upload_2020-7-18_17-34-44.jpg

Maybe chrome isn't so bad after all. :annoyed:

<edit> I'd be interested in knowing how you get the console boot off the brake lever, just for future reference. It wasn't obvious to me. Fortunately, it was necessary either (this time).

When I did mine, I used a primer first Rustoleum American Accents for Plastic and then multiple light sprays of the same type of Rustoleum to coat, it will work. Make sure to use a spray paint that will bind to plastic, that could be the issue...

I used Dupli-Color "Adhesion Promoter" first, then Dupli-Color Metalcast Anodized Coating. Everything I've read said this should be good, in fact I think there's a DC video out there showing this done. Dutifully followed all the directions. I had used the Metalcast paint directly over plastic-chrome before (no Adhesion Promoter) and it came out fine. I might have to give Dupli-Color a call on Monday. The Metalcast paint is meant to be used over chrome and plastic-chrome.

Here's the DC video. It's really pretty crappy. They don't even show the finished product.

Haven’t even picked up my new truck yet, but you gotta start somewhere. Placed an order with MESO Customs today.

I like that location much better than higher up. Looks great!

What do you have to do to take off the cup holder chrome part?

You have to pull off the center arm-rest box (easy, 2-bolts at the bottom), then wrestle it apart from the rest of the console (which actually comes off pretty easy). When that part's off, turn it over and release 10 clips holding the trim from underneath with a small screwdriver. Not that bad.

Installed some side steps from avid off-road. I’m still pretty much stock but we’re getting there. Next is debadging then wheels/tires.
