    Anyone know if this part is necessary or what else it’s used for? There are 3 bolts used and two of the nuts are welded to the frame. The third bolt is welded to this removable piece... just curious why they went with this instead of just welding the third bolt like the other two.

    I believe it is meant help prevent a object hitting the suspension.

    Interesting! I can see there’s one on the other side as well. Although now I can’t get that bolt to screw in anymore :/. For some reason it just slipped straight out as I tightening it more after taking that pic.

    It’s a bash guard for your steering tie-rods. You’d be surprised how much abuse those boxes take.

    4 runner seats, storage cubbies
    Im 99 percent sure it was for crash ratings. Added at some point and brought them up to excellent for some reason. There's a thread somewhere I read all about it
