No open fires. Wood or propane per forestry service. Too dry out there.
Crane prairie had good spots just next the water, its "open". Regulated camp sites are basically closed on BLM and in DNF. I hear these will be opening soon.

I was in touch with the shoes national forest yesterday they plan on opening some on June 5 and some on June 12 but they cannot give me the names of what’s opening up hence the reason I’m looking for dispersed ahead of time

I dont know the area first hand. But on onx maps the place is covered in roads.
If you just have 4wds and tents I'd imagine it won't be hard to find a spot. Maybe all the tents wont be rite next to each other. But I'm sure you can camp.

I didn’t live there but my grandparents did since ‘88 and I would of rather lived in bend then... way to many people now...

with that said though I wouldn’t be mad if I had to live there now

Honestly most of the desirable spots in the country are ruined due to people. Not trying to pick on anyone or anything just so tired of the “longtime bend residents” that complain. Guess what, when you came from out of state/county the locals probably were upset too. Keep the loop alive just divides people which is the last thing we need right now. Just accept it and realize you’re lucky that most people that move here respect the area and take care of it as well.

The loop is alive becasue it is so blatant. Most people who move here don't respect the area. They drive and vote like they are still in California.

Lol I’m gonna guess you want 97 to be a 45 mph zone too

I dont want 97 to be a 45 zone, it is a 45 mph zone. There are crosswalks, bilke lanes, signals, exits with zero deceleration lanes, entries with no acceleration lanes. If you drive 55 on 97 you are the resaon we dont like california refugees

It’s a highway. No crosswalks on my drive from Redmond to bend or the rest of 97. Only one I’ve seen is the parkway but that’s different as it’s already 45

oh, you are talking about a different stretch of 97, my bad. The sped limit is 65, good2go. ....if only folks coud stop randomly crossing the centerline and killing people, that would be great.
