Thinking about picking up a Ruger Mark IV sup. Anyone have any insight on this weapon? I've shot some old school Mark series pistols in the past and really enjoyed it and the take-down on the new series looks really simple too.

Definitely the most portable system I've seen. You know, with some cheap conduit unions, you could break this down even further so that it fits into a gym bag or a military duffel bag, including the steel targets.

Where’d the conduit joints come from?

    Recent acquisition...

    Smith & Wesson Model 28 (an N-frame .357 Mag).

It had Pachmayr rubber grips - I just added the white micarta grips from VZ Grips.

OMG! It seems like only yesterday you and that little cutie were out back working on your dehydrated soup recipe with her little tent there.

Very cool to see this progression E.J. :fistbump:

Picked one up last year. It’s been shot suppressed probably 95% of the time. I really really enjoy it. Much more accurate than I am(as is the case for pretty much everything I own). I have minimal experience with the older versions, but the new takedown process is very easy and quick. As is to be expected shooting 22 suppressed gets dirty fast, my only issues have been failure to feeds. Those have only been after 1-2k rounds through the gun before cleaning it, so very likely my fault more than anything. One of my favorite guns to shoot, likely because I don’t feel guilty for blowing ammo. I would buy it again. Any specific questions?

Hey! Thanks for the reply. No real specific questions, more or less just gauging whether or not it would be a good buy + if there were any major red flags. The idea of being able to shoot a couple hundred rounds and not even think about it is also very appealing to my wallet.

I’m happy with my purchase. I haven’t found anything yet that has made me regret it. One of these days I’m going to get a red dot for it, that’s the only improvement that I see the need for. Palmetto has the lite version in daily deals right now, marked down 70 smackers.
