    My buddy and I are headed up into the mountains to get his tandem kayak wet. I bought a fishing license yesterday (first one in 7-8 years) and tuned up my gear. This gets me out of the house and up to elevation where it is cooler.
    What do you have going?

    Looking for a way to get a 16 foot canoe on the Tacoma while towing a trailer. Not a lot of options out there unless I'm north of $400-500. Suuuucks.

    And remember....fishing is also a great way to somewhat mask a drinking problem!

    I dislike fishing rivers in kayaks...too much jack dickin around and its difficult to get more than one throw to structure. I gave up and started beaching it on sandbars and wade fishing. Kayaks can be really good in lakes though. You can fish pressured water and sometimes get back on channels a larger boat either cannot do or would just scare fish off.
