I am hoping someone can help me. I had a 2017 Tacoma with Premium Sound. During songs like Hotel California the subwoofer speaker would pound so hard it made my dashboard rattle. I had the base and mid-range turned all the way up.

I now own a 2020 Tacoma Pro with Premium Sound. I have the base and mid-range turned on exactly like I did in my 2017 Tacoma.

I cannot hear any base coming from the 2020 subwoofer. Even on "basey" songs like Hotel California.

Could someone with a 2020 w/Premium Sound turn their base and mid-range all the way up and see if you can tell if the subwoofer is pounding? That you can clearly tell the subwoofer is working?

    Thanks so much!

Yes, through Bluetooth. Same Playlist as I used in my 2017.

Are you sure about that? It is the JBL Premium Sound and there is a subwoofer box behind the rear passenger seat.

    DC's have a sub, AC's don't.

That said, it's not very good. The magnet is tiny on the sub, and the rear speakers are actually 3-1/2", so I've read.

Yes Premium sound 2020 with 8" Entune has No sub.
JBL does but op does not mention JBL.

I know I had an issue when I got my '20 where Android auto would sound like crap, but XM was great. I had to change my audio quality and EQ on my phone to fix it. Mostly turn off some EQ stuff on my S10. Overall the system isn't that great, but at least that fix solved the crappy sound.

I have my iPhone set exactly as it was when I used the Playlist in my 2017. The 2017 was super "basey." I hear nothing from the 2020 Pro. Both vehicles had JBL Premium Sound.

Hotel California has a heavy bass line?

Are you getting no bass at all or just not as much as you used to?

Have you messed around with lowering the Mid/Treble to see if it helps?

I will try lowering the mid-range. I hear no base coming out of my sub. My 2017 was very obvious. Anyone else able to check their 2020 or maybe 2019 with JBL and see if you can clearly hear base from the sub? Thanks!
