Thanks. I knew I was suppose to get a new key. Didn’t know it was dongle-less. They confirmed they got my dongle. But I still haven’t received any new files back from them.

Well, like I said, you need to follow the install instructions and send in your sysID. Have you done that? You're not going to receive a reg key until you've done so.

Yes I did send in my sys id. Sorry for asking for help, the attitude of your replies unwanted. No need to reply if you feel you need to put me down.

All you did was say they'd confirmed receipt of your dongle and that you knew you needed the key, not that you had also taken the appropriate steps to request it. It's not only my attitude. No one can help you if you don't provide appropriate supporting information.

    Thanks DP,

    Figured that, but which way?
I know, probably a dumb question, but I'm assuming bigger tire tune will hold rpms longer? Looking for confirmation, or I could just try the other tunes.
Reason I ask is I like to hold my RPMs longer in S mode anyway, MPG be damned
If I can achieve that on a 35" tune on my 31 tires, going to give it a try

    Thanks again

yes. It holds each upshift a little longer to undo the opposite that happened when larger tires made the gearing worse. you can use this as a simple way to change shift points regardless of tires size.

I'm the same way and prefer 1.05 over anything else.

Just loaded 04B04_Premium_Stock_35 and I'm on 31's as well and this one (only been on it a day) feels the best so far out of the other 4 (stock, Thx, non-Thx and the 33" version of those as well - all Premium) I've tried.

I'll have to try that too. I have to run mine with ECT on and in S mode to be happy. Even then I have to be heavy on the pedal from a start or it has no power until it slowly reaches 3500rpm.

I went ahead and signed up to receive ovtune alerts or updates through his website, and also followed him on Facebook. I have seen a couple of the turbo progress updates on facebook but nothing from signing up for the mailer. Does anyone know if the final 2.0 with performance map and gear lock will be posted here, or will it be pulled through p5 flash when tuning or...? Thanks

    In progress.... And getting better!
So I ran both the latest 2.0 Stock 91 33” (275/70/17) tunes and was definitely not happy with the aggressive gear jumping (6-4 on slight or no incline) that was not present in the “Stumble start” 2.0 and 19800 premium tunes. I decided to try the Stock tire premium THX tune and it seems to be running better. I’m only about 150 miles in so far so will see where it is at 500 miles. This shifting issue only seems to be present in 0B04 ECUs from what I’ve read. Has anyone else tried this approach and what was your experience? Thanks!

I’ve had the same experience. I’m 04B04, tried all the available 2.0 (thx and non thx) for 04B04. None of them were as good as the Beta 19770 or 19800 when it comes to going up slight incline/hills. They all made my truck go from 1500-1800 rpms up to 3500rpms (6th to 4th gear). On 19770, my truck will go from 1800 rpm up to 2000 rpm on incline/hills.
I am currently running 19770, and am happy. I like the performance feel of the tune and enjoy driving it. I feel like the 04B04 ECU is the only one experiencing this (from reading everyone’s experiences). I will try the new “final” tune when it is released, but for now, I’m staying with the performance tune-19770 that works for me.

I have the same jump when going 70+ with the slightest of incline. I’m 2018 A61 and I’ve ran both premium_stock_thx and non thx versions. It seems to do it more on the non thx version. But other than the highway incline jump they both run great for my all stock TRDOR. I’ve just accepted the fact that the truck will do this until I regear.

If I hadn’t seen my truck do fine WITHOUT regearing, I’d feel the same way. But my truck has plenty of power without gears on the Beta tune. And it doesn’t downshift to 4th on hills. Maybe you should try the 2.0 betas (19800 or 19770) for your ECU first to see. Couldn’t hurt, might save you some money.
Ps. I have 33” inch tires and 2.5” lift.

I remember when I ran 19800 it had the 3-4 shift too soon and it would lug real bad. So I ditched that one. And I can’t remember much about 19770 but I think the tip in was pretty rough. Plus I’m on stock tires. I’m due for tires soon and I plan to get a bigger set up. May try 19770 when I get the new tires.

Do you remember if the 19770 was an Octane learning beta or premium?

Aggressive Tip in is like an addiction, once you get used to it, you can’t live without it.
Every time I try a tune without it, it just feels “weak “ to me.
    I am addicted!

No. I only have one and it is for 91 octane. I’m pretty sure it was not octane learning.
