That's actually pretty impressive. I'm assuming at least the rear has a locker on that.

 

When I first started watching, I'm like "this will end badly" -- but no they made it across. I hope mine works that well after I get it triple locked. I wouldn't attempt it with the stock LSD rear axle.

 

I want a 200 series Cruiser. Eventually.

That's right 98 and 99 LXs got a stock limited slip in the rear!
LC only got a rear electric locker or it was left as open diff. Until 2000 when both got ATRAC.
Being all wheel drive with a center diff(with center oem diff locker), instead of transfer case and 4wd, is a better thing in my wheeling experience.
In that video, had that been your LX in a factory configuration, you would've pulled through it as well.

 

Whos a wood working guy here. If i wanted to make a T i can mount on the wall to hold tools, should i go with a brad nailer or a finish nailer.

Cool.. My front diff has been updated to a 4-pinion eLocker. It's ready for action. I need to determine how much of the original LSD setup still works. I'm afraid to start down the road with converting the rear to an eLocker in August.. I really want to start wheeling in September and have two events planned for Oct. I need to get a front slider and rock sliders here soon. The summer is flying by.

 

Screws. Bury the screw head a bit then putty over it and sand it if you want it to hold and look good. At least that’s what I would do.

 

@cruiserguy I've been working through making it able to handle water and mod. There is a red and white 100 series in the vid that I will meet this fall. Most of the LCs in this group are 80 series.

was thinking of going something like this think to make it a nailer a d wood glue would work better. The. I can use a thiner board and not worry about cracking.

There's a decent chance that the ABS sensors from any Toyota vehicle with hubs/spindles will be same size or similar enough for what you're wanting to do.
Also there's a dude here on forum, @jammer I think it is, that just replaced one of his sensors. So he might be able to spare the old one that he removed, if all you need it for is to plug the ABS sensor hole on your new knuckle/spindle.
Are the sensors same dimension between fronts and rears?

 

Changed oil and filter on my daughter's Tacoma. I was very impressed with how nicely her truck drives. That 4.0 has decent power too. Maybe I'll go with a 2nd gen Taco when I'm ready to buy another one.

 

Second gen is growing on me. I saw a wicked sweet silver DCLB with slight lift and softopper with sides rolled up yesterday. Looked freaking cool man

My moms and step pops really want me to buy their blanco 2014 DCLB trd off them.

 

I do love the 1st gens but they are getting long in the tooth now unfortunately. And harder to find well maintained or not wrecked. 2nd gen are plentiful, a little expensive still but I kind of expect that since they hold value so well. And they still are great trucks. I do kinda wish Toyota would have thrown the 2uz in them as an option like the 4runner tho, that would have been awesome.

You should totally get that 2014. My daughter's is a 2013 Prerunner.
