Haters gonna hate. Tacoma Limited package has had chrome mirrors, bumpers, handles since 2001.

really? Even though those are cheaper than color coded? And yet they call it “limited” to make it sound like a higher tier?

Awesome buy. I just bought my certified 2015 DSCB OR 2 months ago with 26k miles. 2nd gen 4.0 FTW!

The 1st gen limiteds also had color matched fenders instead of black. It’s a different look for different buyers, like chrome bumper / flat hood / 16” wheels for TRD OR vs color matched / skewp / 17s for Sport. Rest assured you’ll be able to find something to hate on no matter what the trim my dude.

all a matter of opinion, i don’t necessarily obsess over “looks” of small detail items like that. Love the leather heated seats and the other features- I’m buying used here, i can’t exactly order to preferred spec. It won’t be an off road machine so this is perfect. The chrome actually looks pretty nice on it in person, and I’m generally not a chrome guy. Tinted windows coming on it next

I believe the Limiteds have dual zone heating/cooling as well. Heater leather seats are a nice bonus.

I love my 2015 OR, but a Limited would have been just fine. You did good OP.

Those 15s were hard to find even back in 18 when I Got mine. Had to travel a bit, but glad I did. Congrats!

Limited was a pretty rare option in 2015 by the way, you don’t see them often. Here’s your specs:

Just remember the Toyota 7 year starts from the date the truck was put into service(original date of purchase) not the date you purchased it. But that’s was a great find.

The one thing I couldn’t stand, and changed out when the original tires wore down, were the pimp mobile chrome clad rims. I’m a lot happier with the T4R Trail Edition rims which replaced them.

Nice and clean. When I got mine in 2010 I painted the frame, etc. and have take it to Krown annually to get sprayed. The 'flakes' you see in the picture below is some of the paint I applied flaking off. If I see any significant rust, I'll remove the rust and repaint.

I have had no experience with the treatment that Toyota suggests applying to the frame, but personally I like knowing the condition of the metal and I'm comfortable continuing to address any areas where rust appears and treat annually. I am not sure applying fluid film (or similar) over the Toyota treatment will get you the same results as applying fluid fuld over painted metal. Again, I have no experience with Toyota's frame treatment as I have choosen not to have it applied. There are a few threads on here the discuss to pros/cons of the frame treatment.
