Love that steering wheel logo!!!!!! How hard was it getting the chrome logo off?

 

After the painting debacle of yesterday, I needed a win. Eased into it by installing a Hitch Safe that's been sitting on my passenger seat for a couple of weeks:



The thing seems to be built pretty tough. The drawer is understandably tiny, though. A few keys, a credit card, and some cash is all you're going to get in there. One thing I'm not crazy about is that there is only one version of the rubber cover (seen on the bumper). You see that rubber cover, you know that vehicle has a Hitch Safe (not that you're going to get into it).

So after I warmed up, I went after replacing the grill. I think it looks better in person than it does in this photo (might be the angle):

 

Yes, they were installed on #2 and no chance on airbags. I would like to see the front drop a inch to a inch and a half.

 

Never taken any measurements. When the truck is parked a level ground and a level is placed on the running board, it shows the front end is higher then the rear. still thinking of given at least 1 to a inch 1/2 of rake.

 

Picked up a new roomie for the truck after a 7 month wait...

FWIW, for stock trucks, we typically see 20.5" front and 22" rear from center of hub to bottom of fender flare.

I like it. Anything’s better than those honeycomb style grills, absolutely hate that overused 40 year old style it’s been on Mustangs, Ford Crown Victoria’s, Audi’s and who knows what else, even when flattened I hate them lol.

 

Lol, as soon as the wife saw the promo shots she fell in love with it. In person it’s a really nice car, it has a pearly fleck in the white and the black. The dangerous part is having two cars that can be moddded!

We did a drive from sea level up and over 6,500ft to Hilo And averaged 41.5mpg. Great little car.

 

Painted up the grille, and added the grille badge from @tacos4cheap! Thanks, great quality and looks GOOD!!

What color is that decal on the emblem? Is it from @rrentrop ?
What's you use to paint up the grille? Looks good!

Thank you! Yes, MGM decal from @rrentrop. The OEM finish on the grille started chipping, so I painted with 8 coats of PlastiDip and 1 light coat of Glossifier. Honestly I was hesitant doing it at first, but I like the way it came out!
