Added the OME leaf to my medium duty pack to make it a heavy duty. The rear was a bit soft offroad with a bed full of gear and I just added a rear bumper and swingout so it would be bad now.

It's covers the rest of your payments if something would too happen Before loan is paid off so your not stuck w/ payments. Your auto ins itself will give you the value of the truck. I have bout 9-10 months left & its fully paid off.

    Same crap everyone else got
GAP insurance will only cover the difference between what the insurance company will pay out on a totaled vehicle, and the amount owed to a financing company. You won't get an insurance check to go buy a new truck and expect GAP to pay of what is left. That insurance check will go to the loan, and GAP covers what's left. If you owe less than what the insurance company pays out then you will pay off your loan and use what's left to shop for a new truck and their is no GAP claim at that point...... I financed cars for a living for 8 years and still help out when we are overloaded with loans. I've sold many GAP policies. Whoever sold you on yours with that info saw you coming and basically flat our lied to you or you misunderstood them. Also, aside from trading in negative equity, outrageously overprice purchase prices, or super high interest rates Tacoma's hold their value so well that most will never be under water on their tacoma if they make their payments on time so GAP will never be used.

Finally got me a winch... installed it Friday evening. Smittybilt X2O 10K with synthetic line. Wasn't a bad install, but it is definitely TIGHT in there. Not the easiest to access the freespool lever, or the on off switch for that matter, but for the few times I'll be using it I'm not to worried. O yeah... also ordered the offset hawse fairlead off Amazon. Was only like 20 bux, and the quality (or lack of it) shows. No sharp edges, but the radius could have been larger. But for 20 bux... yeah... I'll take it!

DId you use that Valvoline ATF as power steering fluid? Did you just use the turkey baster method of replace and refill the reservoir?

Two projects this weekend. First, I installed the Scosche Wireless Charger and a new USB Socket. I didn't intend to do the USB socket, but I broke the tabs on the original socket when I removed it and had to improvise. Second, installed my All Pro rock sliders. Charger 3.jpg All-pro 4.jpg

I have the same charger, love the fact it has magnets with it. Also that it has a 10w charger vs the one I almost bought.

Mounted tow package lighting. Any ideas how to mount lights for license plate? I wish they made a magnetic light to plug into tow package and I could put it on the tailgate

I was going to comment, but yea what @MAG GRY TACO15 said. You will still get a check for the value of your truck, minus the 9-10 payments you have left. Your Gap insurance is useless at this point. I personally refuse to buy it. Its a racket IMO.

More old truck maintenance today. Changed my power steering fluid. It was dark and looked worn but it wasn’t tortured. Now I have bright red MaxLife in there.
