I'd look at Brown switches personally.

Once you go mechanical (I have Cherry Browns), you never go back!

True that, I've had them for like 10 years now I hate coming to work using these shitty ones lol. I may buy myself a new one and bring mine here

I got tired of the key feel of cheap keyboards, not to mention if you ever spill anything on one, might as well toss it in the garbage and buy another. No idea how many cheap keyboards I've gone through at home, but I've been using my mechanical keyboard for 10 years and counting...

You're not alone. I bought my wife a HyperX keyboard a couple of years back and she was surprised when it was RGB. She thought it would be blue since that's the type of switches she wanted lol.

She ditched the Cherry MX Blue in less than a year for Cherry MX Browns. Now she's running Romer G. I won't lie, I'm not a huge Cherry fan anymore. I mean don't get me wrong they make a great high quality switch but I like some of the alternative switches now a lot more. People forget that Cherry is only popular because they were the shit back when IBM was the computer company everyone wanted to buy from. Their name became synonymous with mechanical keyboard switches and they haven't changed much since then while other companies have refined their designs. A lower profile switch with equal or better travel than Cherry offers in the equivalent switch feels 100x better, trust me.

Browns are my favorite too. That high pitched click of blues is nauseating to me. Very fatiguing on the ears. Browns are slightly less crisp, but such a pleasure to type on without being so loud.

My cherry red k70 has an insane amount of travel but they are pretty sensitive so the key press is almost instant. probably will get a low pro switch when this thing dies though. Tired of the clickity clack sounds lol.

I primarily went Brown because they were quieter. Love them!

Also love that if I hold a key down, it only registers one keystroke.

I have that keyboard in storage somewhere. I also never used the macro keys. I actually bought it for the orange backlighting, back when everyone else seemed to only sell keyboards with blue/white backlighting. I used the LCD screen as a clock.

I like the LCD. Theres still some good support for it. HWINFO has a setting to use the LCD so its nice to have it set up to easily see CPU/GPU/MEM usage or Temps while in game.

Lets hope that's actual facts and not just rumors, Nvidia needs some competition in the high end. I would totally make the switch if the price was right.

So tired of the rumors, its been years of waiting for the both of them to show up. I just hope they release in September.

This is going to sound like the most shill thing ever, but performance alone won't pull me over to AMD. The price has to be excellent. Nvidia's DLSS 2.0 is shaping up to be a total game changer, RTX is getting better, and I love Shadowplay. Nvidia is definitely the market leader in new tech.... but look at Ryzen. AMD can overthrow the giant, they just have to bring a lot to the table.

AMD has there own image sharpening algorithm out already and unlike DLSS it doesn’t need to be implemented in the game code.

Big Navi will have ray tracing. AMD confirmed this.

Shadowplay... is something I’ve never used lol. I get that it’s a feature though.

AMD doesn’t have to do much to win me over. For what I paid for a 2080Ti I’ve been unimpressed by their drivers this generation. I still have issues with random crashes in some games that can be traced to flakey final release drivers. If they get close to the 3080Ti I’m gone. I’ve had nVidia for my last three cards and only one of them impressed me (the 1070)

Just saw a new article saying that big Navi will have 16gb of vram. I don’t know the super technical stuff, but can only assume that’s impressive as the 2080ti has 11gb

nVidia has always prioritized memory speed over volume of memory. Volume hasn’t been an issue but could be in the future with new Engines like UR4 requiring more video memory to buffer surround textures for high definition picture at the same resolution. nVidia has a work around which is basically using the SSD and/or ram as a memory cache like the PS5 will do. AFAIK though unless it’s done perfectly there will be a performance penalty.
