I was looking at SPCE a couple of months ago when they were around $12/share to hold until right before they were going to do their first commercial passenger flight (in 2021?), but chickened out. With them winning contracts and flying to the space station now, I don't think it would be a bad option to jump into. But then it will probably drop to $18 next week...

 

I did a lot of reading this weekend and ROCHE is a really good looking stock with respect to multiple Covid treatments/responses...But it's at an ALL time high...watching for a dip

I know a few people there and they enjoy working for the company. That's a good sign! I had been looking at jobs there, but haven't seen any I would be interested in or qualified for. Lots of good research going on with cancer, COVID-19, and other issues, along with a lot of great pharma products at market. They also have an excellent COVID antibody test that is extremely accurate (blood draw style, not finger prick) that is on the market. The stock was slightly higher than my buy criteria when I started investing myself in April... I wish I had done more due diligence at the time. I missed the $30/share range out of ignorance... I may buy if it drops under $45 again for the 1.5% dividend yield.

 

I sold at $31.72 and was lamenting the missed $2/share...so you can win and lose..I do think it's in sell territory and buy under $30, because of the way it works off the underlying assests.

 

I agree. I was greedy hoping for a morning jump over 35 today. Sold at 33. So only really left $1 on the table from Friday. If I see it under 27 again anytime soon I’ll pick it up again

 

Yup...My plans as well. It's already gained all it will from the covid drop. Now it's just fluctuating with the market. Anytime housing dips, I'm in for 50 shares...

 

Well...I was reading more today about the exodus from NYC...and checking out who is hit by this...

There was a hit-piece story on IVR on thursday in motley about IVR and robinhood...I was looking to jump in and out and doing some research...and it's not a buy yet...
CLNC looks like the statistical winner...but again, I have about 1/4 of my $$ in REIT's already...

 

I played with ivr in May got a ridiculous 50 cent dividend on a stock trading under $3, and then sold on its way down from June 8 high. Hadn’t seen it actually came back to low 3’s now. Looks like they nearly eliminated the dividend now.

Haven’t looked into CLNC, but I’ve mostly gotten out of the REIT’s for now

 

I'm Presently looking at DFEN.
BA seems to be beaten down to about it's lowest it's going to get. I'm calling DFEN as a buy as soon as the price starts with $10.xx if you are greedy...If your not I think it's a buy today...I'm watching for an end of the day dip...

 

Oh and of course VXX is now in the $28's...ONE FXING Day after my $30 puts expired...OFFUKINGCOURSE

Are very interesting funds...basically very steady dividend returns that are mirrors of each other...The plan is you buy one or the other and then when the market dips you sell and buy the other. It allows you to offset your tax gains when you want vs the dividend and because they are mirrors of each other you can use them to avoid wash sale rules...

 

They release earnings on the morning of Aug 3rd. I plan on just riding it out until then. If the optons have a good profit before earnings I'll dump them prior. If not I'll hold until earnings and hope they beat with strong guidance.

 

I've got orders in for DFEN (25 shares each) at $11.40, 11.30, 11.20 in case it closes dipping...

 

I have 2 SPCE calls $23 for 21AUG20 that I'm waiting to see if the hit my buy price...

TD Ameritrade seems VERY sluggish today...lots of lag

 

They've been trending up since 45 minutes after open. I doubt they fill today.

My NVDA July31 $415 calls are up 30%. Why am I being a greedy shit and still holding them? lol

No issues with E-Trade.

 

Do I add $0.05 and chase...and then see the ask immediately jump $0.10...I don't have those Quote chasing super computers with fiber lines hitting the bids before we even see them...

With my ability to work from home part time (work IT, and still need to go on site a couple days a week), and the timing of a bunch of CD's maturing, I started dabbling in the market back in late April. I have ALWAYS been VERY conservative with my money but figured OK, i got my trump bucks, I will invest in things I see fit and will pull out if I get close to loosing my free trump bucks.

Made a vanguard account, and moved a good chunk of money into it, Invested in mainly VBK and MGK, with some VFIAX and VBIAX as more "stable" base. Currently up ~12% so i cant complain.


I have been leery of buying single stocks (as you can see im all invested in ETF's and Mutual Funds) but wouldnt mind to start dabbling in it too... question is, where is everyone doing their research for single stocks on the rise etc?

I just compromised on my NVDA options. I had 4. Now I have 2. Made 33.7% profit on the 2 I sold. In 2 days.

GET in early and out early!!!

Most of the daily in and outs are chasing Pharma related to COVID right now, and looking at housing, unemployment and oil and getting in and out of ETF's related to them. The only anchors I have around my neck right now are NRGU and NRZ. I am LOOOOONG on NRZ and I was adding at $3.00...
