Done. I may have to go back and fix the hyperlinks. Not working from my phone to go to the direct post.

See if you can peel it off? Maybe it's to protect from scratches while transporting :rimshot:

Cool. One of my two packages just passed thru customs, not sure if it's the skid or hardware.

Web site says they are currently blue, but shows photos of black ones: https://trailtoys.net/products/uhmw-gas-tank-skid-plates-2005-tacoma-dcsb-and-access-cab

The one EatSleepTacos got in Feb was blue: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-lair.495066/page-3521#post-22726685

    B
ig Overland Outdoor Buzz Search, or what's that whining noise coming from my rear axle or is that noise coming from a passenger seat?!

    Current plan is:

    • Friday July 31st, -> Arrive to Ardberg, camp & drinks :drunk:
    • Saturday, August 1st -> do some light trails around area, head out to North Bay (VMUTS), camp
    • Sunday, August 2nd -> explore VMUTS, check out scenic caves and other things in the area, camp :rasta:
    • Monday, August 3rd -> hit Minden Hydro Line in the afternoon, Kawartha Dairy to fill the stomachs. Maybe we get to see mystical @Joe23 and his truck... Head back home at the end of the day.

Trails are stock friendly, pin stripes are possible, fun is a must!

    The list:

My tank skid came in as well. Not convinced on the high shipping cost considering it's just slightly longer than traction boards, but whatever:

Just waiting for the KS0211 bolt head protectors to come in from Australia now, so I don't have to mess with the nylon straps.

    Could have gotten those from
Tmr customs for next time. They use them for the beadlocks.

Didn't see them on TMR's web site at the time, but good to know for the future.

At the time it was between KAON in Australia and Ballistic Fab in Arizona. Australia surprisingly came out cheaper after shipping, thanks to favorable exchange rates.

    these are the aluminum ones
    https://ca.tmrcustoms.com/collections/body-washers/products/3-8-body-panel-mount-washer

Can find them in the body panel stuff
    https://ca.tmrcustoms.com/collections/body-washers

Use to have the same thing for their beadlocks but can’t for the life of me find them.

Thanks. The beadlock protectors are probably still available by phone. They might just resell the Ballistic Fab ones.

The panel washers aren't suitable for the fuel tank application, because they're aluminum and countersunk instead of counterbore.

Think they used aluminum for the rims too. Worth a call. They may be able to make it for you. Offroad machine shop

What is the approx length and width of the tank skid? I think you could buy a 4 x 8 x 1/4 sheet of UHMW and make a few pretty easy.
