Is the add a leaf option easy to install? Does require any specialize tools?

I’m sure it’s noticeable. If your not gonna do a bunch of armor and whatnot on the front end, personally I wouldn’t worry about it.

It is with the proper knowledge and tools. Which I have neither of lol so I bring mine into a shop and they do the alignment all in one shot.
Thank you, man. My family is quite big so there is no way we’d settle on a small service for immediate family members. I feel better waiting for everyone to attend

I may do a steel bumper and electric winch. I don't know what the weight will do to the front springs.

Enough for it to affect the ride.....do a heavier spring

You may want to look into 700lb springs if you proceed with that.

I change rear end out of rear wheel drive cars before. I think there a little more involved than exchanging rear ends.

I had to remove a leaf spring out of a Chevy pick up. A suspension shop did the add a leaf. Back then spending $75 for them to do it was well worth it.

How much weight needed to be added to the front for it to sag? Maybe I can find a lighter weight bumper and winch. Plus for state inspection the bumper has to meet the garage requirements.

Almost any aftermarket armor bumper lol. All that metal will be heavier than plastic OEM. You could look into aluminum bumpers for weight savings, but if you’re rock crawling you’d definitely feel better with steel. From what I’ve read, people can get by with 650lb springs when wearing aluminum bumpers

About 75% I'll be on paved road, highway. The other 25% will be light trails until I get hooked on rock crawling. The steel bumper is mostly for looks for now, the winch is for pulling small trees, shrubs, etc.

What spring rate set up do you have? Your truck have a nice stance.

I think the aluminum will best suit your needs unless you know for sure you’ll get into serious rock crawling. Going steel, you might also want to look into re-gearing which is another pretty penny.

Thank you man I appreciate that compliment! I’ve got the standard 650lb spring up front that came with this model, in addition to the Toytec 1” spring seat spacer. The rear is the Icon RXT leaf pack on Option 1. I also looked into front bumpers for looks, but also added clearance and beef. But I’m trying to keep the truck light for driving on sand

My friend brother in law work at Toyota as a tech for 25 years. If he's willing to he will be doing most of the work that I can't. He usually bails me out of a jam.

You're welcome. What kind of height did you get from the Icon RXT leaf pack Option 1?

Well I decided on going with the All Pro leaf pack (expedition) as well as the U-Bolt Flip Kit with Timbren Bump Stops... now I wait to receive and install. However, with COVID happening who knows when I will receive the product LOL

That’s good to know and have those kinds of people!

I unfortunately don’t have the initial height info immediately following the installation anymore, but a few months after I measured roughly 25ish” from center of hub to bottom of fender. I had an entirely different setup at the time and had some rake to the stance. Currently I’m closer to being level, and the rear has settled to about 24ish”

Emphasis on the “ish” since the driver’s side is a fraction of an inch lower due to the gas tank, battery and my ever-growing beer belly when I hop in lol

LOL I haven't been worried about the virus... one of those "its a setup" type person but I wear a mask for others safety and plus its required in Washington state. Just sucks how everything is closed or "open" but they have to jump over so many hurdles to actually get the job done. I will for sure upload pics when installed. Sick of my saggy rear end. Plus I will be that much closer to 295's! :spending:

After new spring are installed, should I expect front/rear spring to sag a inch over time?

I was looking at a TRD Off Road with about 16,500K miles. The back end was appeared to be sagging. I had the 2 salesman stand in the bed. The bump stop was almost hitting. Is this normal for just over 300 lbs to sag this much in the bed? Especially with the amount of miles. The foam on the seats was all caved in. I passed on the truck but wondering with the miles why the truck sag so much.
