You should consider a barn fan. Or swamp cooler. Or something.

When I used to teach motorcycle classes, on days like this standing on black asphalt for 12hrs a day in the sun, I would take a neck gaiter/buff and fill it with ice and keep that around my neck. Works like a charm as long as you don't mind your shirt being soaking wet.

Man I hope mine aren't seized...guess I'll just go mark them and then see if they can be loosened for my suspension install and putting in those HOPEFULLY Saturday, might mark and check them Friday when I get home! Otherwise sounds like replacement parts would be needed!

I might throw on the rears ahead of the weekend since I know they come off since I did the leafs twice (upgrade and then shimming)!

My truck had 40k miles when I tried to remove my lca’s and they were seized. Had to cut through the bushings. I think this is the norm. I think you are lucky if they spin. If they do move freely, and you are keeping that setup, lube the bolt and sleeve with anti sieze like I think nick said. If you do have to cut the bushings, you will have options ranging from sas to replacement bushings and bolts to contemplate.

I'm willing to bet you'll be okay. I've done the suspension up front twice and both times they were a-okay. Of course, I could be wrong and you'll be cussing my name the entire time. I'm okay with either.

Come on Dave, you know no two trucks will mod the same way for the most part!!

It looks like the heat wave will break this Friday down my way, only hitting 90 on the mecury and 89 Saturday. Hopefully I can get to my in-laws to do some wrenching...not sure about aligent shops, but I imagine something is better than nothing for tire/steering/general safety post uca and shock/coilover install.

The real million dollar bet is what this will do to my driveline/rear pinion shim fix!?!?

It's not exact, but you can mark the tabs on the alignment bolts. You'll be close enough for government work. Or at least until you get to the alignment rack.

I had truck projects for last weekend. I said nope. May say nope again this weekend. I don't do well with the humid.

If all I need to do is remove the strut bolt from the LCA, and the lower ball joint attachment to drop if free, right?

I wasn't thinking of pulling off the LCAs...but never having done any of this up in the front am all ears/eyes!

You will NOT need to remove the control arm. It will require a little force to flex the control arm down.

I have a big box fan that blows on me for anytime I’m not welding. Makes a huge difference. I already told the wife that if our next garage is large enough to work on the truck with the door closed, I’m getting a portable ac unit in there.

Yeah. I am moving wood rounds and split stacks for tree clearing on the 31st...I got three trailer loads of rounds moved, trash/recycle center run, and did the weedeating and mowing between Saturday and Sunday mornings and evenings.

I too tend to avoid this type misery weather...but the 31st is almost here, and I've got about a chord of split wood to move and a few more pallets of smaller rounds to move.
