Anyone know of other fabricators that make something similar to the type C bumper for a 3rd gen? Been looking for a bumper that has the prerunner look to it finally found this one, and by the last two comments doesn’t seem to be promising that he’s making one.:annoyed:

    Nice work!

It's actually more rigid once the bumper is installed.
Maybe in the future but as of right now no plans for a rear bumper

Sorry no first gen bolt ons

I no longer produce custom work for the public. If it's not on my website I don't sell it. https://deztoyfab.com/

Metal, cutting, and powder coat prices have shot through the roof

Still making them. I've actually got a Type C in stock ready to ship if your interested.

$1700 shipped to you door, that's about $200 less than my retail price after tax and shipping https://deztoyfab.com/collections/2.../products/type-c-bumper?variant=1243428552708

Placed my order for a type B for 05-15 today. @DTFtacoma do you have any idea what lead times are like right now? I'm in no rush, just was curious if the 2-4 weeks on your website is a good ballpark

Feel the need and obligation to share my experience and opinion on my DTF Type B bumper purchase. When i ordered i asked before hand what the lead time was and was told 5 weeks. I had a few bumpers i was looking at and this was by far the most expensive but i liked the way it looked in limited pictures and was sold with the somewhat short lead time. Fast forward 14 weeks with some limited communication and me finally asking for a refund and i recieved my bumper with a refund of shipping as a gesture. Now my bumper is powdercoated and ready for install and i cut my crossmember out. Im more than a bit dissapointed with the fitment, especially for the price. I understand not every truck is exactly the same but the bumper is not a good fit but was able to get all bolts in with some massaging and an impact gun. All in all i wanted to write a review because had i read something like this ahead of time i never would have bought it. I regret this purchase but what can you do. Like i said this was only my experience but feel its important and fair to share. If anyone wants a DTF type B for a good price let me know -T

Yes its suppose to touch. when you tighten the 6 bolts on the front bumper horns this is how it ends up. I was able to loosen the front nuts all the way out and get the bottom 4 started then impact them all down but it causes the whole bumper to angle forward and down leaving the very top horizontal bar of the bumper nowhere near level or looking good.

I have this same bumper on my truck and absolutely love it! I did have to elongate the lower mount holes slightly. That being said the frame horns on Tacomas are super flimsy just take a look at them. They are crazy thin hence why people reinforce them when they throw on a winch. Also keep in mind that this bumper is super long so it's putting a lot of leverage on the frame horns when you only have the 6 bolts mounted on top so it actually flexing the the thin plates and dropping the bottom back down. I always have mounted the bottom first then the top six bolt's and have had zero issues. Anyway here is my bumper below I started the process of going to a TC 2" kit today so the truck is currently being pulled apart... Hope this helps....
