Jesus, judging by Facebook and other social medias, Gallagher Head Lake is absolutely just too busy to enjoy now.

17-20mpgs depending on how fast I go and if I'm with my whole fam. Usually around 16-17mpg city. I'm armored, 33s and ~2 lift.

Nope sure can't! Need at least 37's front and rear locker and a winch. No AT can make it MT only

I think that’s only needed for the boat launch.

Got a hole burning in my pocket. Debating on

    A) swapping out my front suspension with ADS with clickers and ressies.
    B) Chevy 63 swap with 12-14" rear shocks
    C) 35s
    D) regear.

Obviously I would like to do all of these, but most likely can only do one for now.

I feel like 35s would suit me the best as I'm not wheeling hard every weekend. When I do wheel though, the chevy 63 swap would work well. My Icons are great on the road, but I wish they were progressive on compression like ADS and stay digressive on rebound.

Maybe with 35's you won't need the Chevy swap for longer.

A regear would be probably needed by then.

I remember last year you said you wanted to get rid of your icons for ads

    That's what I'm thinking. Order would be 35s -> regear -> chevy 63s -> front suspension

For the type of stuff I do, I feel like tire pressure has more to do with how the truck rides on technical trails than the shocks itself. But hey, can't get them gram likes without bright red clickers on your ressies.

so anyone got the hook ups on some 35x12.5x17 goodyear MT/Rs?:D

Revalve + add resi's to the icons, and 35s at the same time?

from what I understand, it would cost the same amount to buy new icons with ressies already than to revalve and add ressies?

I got it. Just need some old hair spray bottles that i'll paint silver and hook up some old brake lines to them. Like that magnetic winch

I mean if you want that blue color then buy kings, after a revalve and adding the resi/clickers they'd theoretically be brand new again, but not scratch free brand new. You'd be ahead $1100 or whatever it is for the non resi coilovers since you have that part. You'd just need to buy the valve shims, oil/rebuild kit, and id compare the prices of the hose to connect the resi to the shock body and also the resi's themselves. Any decent hydraulic hose shop can provide a hose with the correct fittings, and even make the hose custom length to mount the resi's where ever you want, not 8" or whatever standard distance away that icon only provides.

That's true. I guess I could always be on the hunt for some shocks that need a rebuild. I don't care about looking super nice, although I was leaning towards ADS since from what I understand, they hold up to corrosion better than kings.

Are your Icons not holding up? Mine have been just fine since I bought them back in ~2012 time frame. Even having lived directly on the beach for ~6 months. Could always get some Clear Coat spray paint and hit them after they are adjusted. Seen people do that with all brands of shocks to help with corrosion

Regear is a must, time it as perfectly as you can. I cant believe i went To 35’s and just had my gears laying on the shop floor for a year

Dobinsons are great. Been around forever down under and just recently started becoming known stateside. I think the biggest gripe people will have with those is that they are not a full 2.5" shock body....but they are 3 way adjustable which will be great for confusing people.
