    @T4Rgurl wants a play truck, so reg cab w/ auto trans n 4wd. 1st gen would be good, I personally like the 2nd gen reg cabs, unless I find the elusive 1st gen step side version.

    I heard you can camp just about anywhere in Austin. You may be more interested in some of the lake camp grounds though. Inks lake is nice, then there is plenty of camping around lake Travis as well.

    JB Grand Raid Evo XXL mounted on an Alu-Cab. 5.29 gears.
    We've done some summer camping out at Muleshoe Bend which is a LCRA park. Nice facilities and water access, bring your mountain bike for some trail riding. Not a lot in the way of hiking trails.

    Spots 38, 39, and 40 are fairly private, probably want to check on the campsite map incase they've renumbered them...

    Yes colorado bend is great, I assumed that the state parks would be full but looking online looks like there's availability in the next 4 weeks. The LCRA parks are a great option during peak texas camping season.
