    Amazon.
I'm sure you could find them on ebay as well.
When I strike out on either one of those I bite the bullet and go to Fastenall, they have just about any fastener known to man!
Edit: the security torx I purchased even came with the bit.

i have my first Tacoma windshield replacement scheduled with Safelite next Tuesday. 500$ deductible with USAA. i had to use it once in my last car over 8 years of life. wonder about the Tacoma... I'm at 67k miles, looking at super high mileage on it, and this windshield has destroyed itself from seemingly nothing. no strikes or anything. literally woke up to this.

    20200721_085956.jpg

but USAA does make it easy. i will call them again and check about lowering the deductible. some years ago it didn't make sense but now I'm with the Toyota..

There was most likely a hit at the very top of the windshield in the tinted area that just stressed the glass. I've had 2 windshields break the exact same way, a small rock hits near the roof line, no cracks just a tiny chip, and a couple days later a crack shows up.

Are those complaints for NC'ers or Canadians cause we complain about the weather all 12 months of the year since it changes so drastically.

No deductible on mine and the cost is cheap, rediculously cheap. The Mrs. is looking for the policy now.

As promised here is an update on my Ridgid tool box roof storage. They handled a 600 mile road trip at 80mph with 20mph head/crosswinds, going through high pressure car washes, and sitting exposed daily to near 100 degree heat with no issues. For $100 I bought: 2 boxes, 4 padlocks, and all the stainless steel hardware to mount them.

ok, who dries their truck off??? I prefer the "air dry" method. Washing it is work enough.

Wait, who doesn't dry their truck off? Do you like mineral deposits? Because that's how you get mineral deposits.

I don't unless hand washing. The dryer at the laser wash that I go to is pretty darn efficient.
Reminds me. I need a new chamois.

Ok, I stand corrected, perhaps that could be an issue depending on the type of water you have to wash with. I have municipal water and that does not seem to be an issue. also, I have a truck, car and 2 motorcycles to wash so when it comes to drying I wipe the bikes down quickly but never bother with the car and truck. I don't seem to have an issue with mineral deposits.

The hardware is just button head m6 bolts, nylock nuts, over sized washers, and some rubber coated pipe clamps all in stainless steel. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N3Q3RBL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

The tool boxes are Ridgid 22 inch pro organizers, $30 each at Home Depot. I have been using them for years at work with no failures so I figured they would be strong enough to handle being strapped to the roof. They are advertised as 100% waterproof and in my experience that has been true, though I haven't had the chance to test them driving at high speed in a rain storm. But like I said no water has gotten inside them when I go through the touch free car washes that blast the hell out of your car with high pressure water jets.

Nothing that fancy near me. I suppose I could throw the blow gun on my ARB and air dry it, definitely better if you can avoid touching it at all. Mainly I just like to get water off the hood and the roof, because that's where it'll settle. That big ol nose pushes air way out so hitting the highway after doesn't do a thing. Everywhere else tends to drip dry well enough.
