Long, heavy trigger pull; but, very consistent and predictable. With practice it is a decent shooter. 829E5EFA-102C-4A8B-AFE2-D2C8012E7B82.jpg 7D31DFE2-5023-45A6-8ACE-292A72C2C99D.jpg

Shot my Winchester pre ‘64 For the first time yesterday that my grandfather gave me earlier this year. Sweet shooter for sure. I need to get it on paper to make sure it’s ready for deer season opener at the end of October.

Fantastic platform. It is truly a SubMOA precision rifle right out of the box. I would recommend going with 6.5CM rather than .308, simply for the flatter trajectory. I have a friend who has this rifle (6.5CM) and have put a couple of boxes through it. Very nice.

I've researched to compare how both rounds are different and it does seem the 6.5 has an advantage over the .308. I leaned more towards the .308 for the vast availability of it and the longevity of the barrel. Any other insight on which is preferred or recommended?

I'm looking for a plate carrier and level III plates. Several friends have recommended the Ferro Concepts Slickster.

What's the lead time on plates? I'm 6'1", 230. Assuming I need size Large plates?

What's everyones opinion on Red Dots for an EDC Gun? My new P365 XL is ready to accept one and I've been hearing good things about the 507K. I run a red dot on all my ARs but I have mixed feelings on running one on my handgun, maybe I just need to do some more reading and actually shoot a handgun with a RD (have not done that yet). I'm just so used to Iron Sights and I know I can trust them....
