I want it to run by its 20th birthday..

07/28/2021 it’ll be 20 years since it rolled off the assembly line. 08-21-21 will be 20 years owned by my family.

Interesting. I might try deleting mine all together. I hate climbing up steep stuff and stopping only to slide back down because there is no weight on the front tires.

No offense taken. I've had enough bad experiences with cheap/shitty batteries that it has become a higher priority for where I spend money.

Did you use the frame box kit from TG or whatever? I'm weary of it from other people getting them and the fitment being terrible.

Everything is fucking terrible from most fab shops. Any TC stuff I have always had to heavily modify. Almost every truck I have seen bends slightly differently in the curve of the frame from the factory (or use) so it will never be perfect. Shit I made my own templates and cut mine specific to the my frame and it still wasn't perfect. Gaps can be filled and tight spots can be ground down., though it's never enjoyable needing to make shit that should just work fit. Bottom line, I wouldn't let that concern stop you from doing it IMO.

Literally the only product I have gotten that fits exactly like it should is @eimkeith's stuff.

    Agree with @cynicalrider 100%

It was close enough we were able to fill what needed to be filled and grind what needed to be ground. It took patience and a lot of wire but it came out good to go.

We've burned over 5 pounds of wire on this so far.

Got out while it was still cool this morning, installed new plugs, replaced the wires, as I had a broken rubber end on one, cleaned the throttle body, and MAF. Plugs are Denso factory flavor, and I hope I see an improvement in gas mileage. The ones coming out were BOSCH Double Platinums, but single electrode. They all looked good, with about 50K on them.

Most of the weld on shit isn't appropriately labeled as "builder parts" but should be because of said work required to achieve fitment
