    Just got the factory-set A/F needles out of the carbs. They were just barely over 2 full turns from base, so I guess the EX250 guys are correct when they say these bikes are tuned lean from the factory.

    Note the super crushed o-rings! They will be replaced along with a good cleaning.

    I broke down and bought my own motorcycle tire changing equipment this year. I've been real fortunate to have a friend with a Cycle Hill/Nomar changer and we've changed quite a few sets of tires at his house but I decided I wanted one of my own so over the July 4th holiday I ordered one. Just mounted and balanced 2 new tires for my FJR last weekend. Nice now I can do them as I see fit and not have to coordinate with anyone else's schedule. In 2018 we did 3 pairs of tires for that bike plus doing some for other mutual friends. We do most of our own work including valve checks and adjustments.

    This is/was a friend's bike. He was going about 40mph and a car pulled out in front of him, from a turn out on Angeles Crest Hwy. Sent him over the bars and to the hospital for a night. But he's fine now. Even bought another bike already.

    Bike needs a lot replaced. Whatever is not in that picture, needs to be replaced, and some more that can't be seen.
