Rock solid toys ADD harness with shifter boots and shifter knob came in today only a couple more things now!

 

Did a project I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Created my own dual inflator deflator kit. Could have made it 4 tires but I like the portability of 2. 4 min total to air down all 4 from 34psi to 18psi. 7 min total to air up all 4 from 18 Psi to 34psi. Super simple to use and the valve I put on there equalizes the pressure between the tires.

 

Also mocked up my switch locators for my front locker and add switch moved my roof light at to the switch pod

 

Maybe one day I’ll be making bumpers and sliders and stacking dimes on my $2,000 dollar welder but for now I’ll stick to my newbie welds on my $150 one . Had fun practicing this morning.

 

Forgot to post this yesterday. Added a table and side panel to my swing arm. Also added a lock at 90*. Turned out food.

10 days until i order the rest of what i need and then its whenever all of it gets here lol. Gonna ship my diff off next week so it will be ready by the time im ready to pay em lol.

Im not really worried about anything other than the driveshaft. Im praying there wont be vibes but i know there will be so ill most lily order a one piece after everything is buttoned up.

 

That’s just speculation. You won’t know, until it’s all said and done with!

Tried to replace a u joint last night and messed up one of the caps. Now have to buy another ujoint

nobody said those needles were so fragile

 

Packing the needle bearings with some sticky grease like Lucas red n tacky will help you get them seated without having issues

 

Thanks ill try that. Needles fell out of cap and i was so mad.

 

If you do pack it pretty full with grease make sure to leave the zerk fitting off until you get it all the way seated so the grease has somewhere to escape more easily. I had an issue where I packed it too much and then it started pushing the blue seals out when pressing them in.

Random question, but what kind of mileage are you seeing with the 5.29s and your auto?

I just went back N/A so i could drive the truck again and im expecting to see in the 15-16 range like before it was S/C'd. Curious if your auto does a little better though?
