T-case is as simple as the diffs. Did the DropBear a little while back.

I watched this video on YouTube from Project Farm of him doing some test - it seems the I Beam style works best thats for sure.

Bosch Icons what I got, #3. Cheapest of the top 3.

I really like them. I get real excited over new blades and always wish it would rain so I can test em out.

Firestone are good if you're buying Firestone destination AT or destination MT tires. Otherwise I'd stay away from them. their work warranty is better than jiffy lube and Valvoline and other quicklube places, but still...

Still got my factory wipers on at 41 k. dealership tech told me they were torn and needed to be replaced, but I can't find the tears in them and they still work just fine for me.

I'm located around Roland / Mission. I at the moment have very basic tools, and know the dealer is just $100+ more than I want to spend for the work required.

    Gotcha.

I'm not around that area, so I can't suggest shops. I just would not take it to Firestone. Can't imagine anything but basic tools would be needed for the diffs and transfer case.

I’ve done front and rear diffs and transmission on my truck

I havent touched transfer case. They use 75w in the third gen which is some new blend and people have had mixed results using non Toyota fluid.

Cabin air filter people definitely need to do more often, it gets way nastier than people think

    I’m still on original brakes..

I've changed my cabin air a couple times now. Lucky to have good parts guy(s) on stand by and close proximity.

Definitely wanna do all new brake stuff, I squeal on reverse. It's annoying.

What is with Firestone? I have only bought tires from them in the past and have had good luck with the Lifetime Alignment they offer - Do you guys have bad experiences? Making me 2nd guess getting the alignment done by them....

They're a tire shop. Everything else is always been kind of iffy with them. Roommate had an 88 Ranger that he bought from some despot :anonymous: And the local Firestone passed it on a safety inspection when it wasnt driveable for more than 10 minutes at a time.

That being said, if you need budget tires that are actually pretty decent, the Firestone destination series are a good choice.

I've only done alignment and have lifetime alignment with them. That's no problem.

My personal opinion is that they may be comparable to Valvoline and have techs that have no idea how to properly work on a Toyota vehicle in terms of fluid changes.

2nd gen Tacoma requires you to heat up the transmission fluid, jump OBD pins so your speedo is going wonky until it tells you its ready for temp check mode, then drop an overfill plug until it trickles out, and bam, you have the correct level of ATF fluid in your tranmission. (I've done this several times now)

I am in the northland and use the one off Barry road for alignments but I get what everyone is saying.

Luckily working on cars and having some experience working in a dealership I am going to be doing everything (that I can) on my own.

That sounds tricky. I was going to do mine myself, but you make it sound like a cooking recipe and kind of a PITA.

Hi All. I'm in JOCO and picked up my 2020 AT/Offroad this past weekend.

Anyone in the area do the OvTune to their Tacoma?
