Aussies do that shit right. Wish we could get utes here like that. Big V8s are always an option in those too.

@cruiserguy I liked the idea of using RR ties to anchor a car port, I'll have to see if Sams or Costco still stocks them. I know HF does but you're basically just buying the frame because the fabric cover isn't very good.

You're exactly spot on dude. You know if I needed one right now what I would be doing now as I'm driving to appointments and stuff, would be keeping my eye open for one that is up in someone's yard but the fabric/canopy isn't there or partially there lol
I'd stop there and ask if they want me to come remove it and I'll remove it no charge if I get to take it home. Win-win dude. But I know that's not an option for most folks. Maybe used on Craigslist? And another option instead of that tin roof sheeting, a thought I had was the material that tractor trailers use when they tarp over their loads, known what I mean? That nice thick vinyl, PVC stuff. Wonder what that stuff runs? At least it's made to handle real wind and sun and stuff.

Just make sure to sniff them before you buy them, creosote is a strong smell that really sticks around. Assuming they're actual used RR ties anyway.

    Look into White Boat Wrap.
Seriously tough stuff, I've had it on an out building roof for 10 years without damage. I put it on a geodesic metal frame because it's heat shrink.
