The vF hardware ordered from @OVTune would look the same.

The OG Flash Kit is equivalent to the vF, Tune Pack, and the OVT Tactrix grouped together. Of course, the adapter purchased from Tactrix directly works also. The case will be gray instead of orange.

I would love to try to exploring how to fix stuff I have a problem with in vf Tuner but I have zero idea or faith that I can do it. It's not the software or being nervous to tune, but if @OVTune couldn't figure out the DFCS fuel cut thing or rev hang, there's no way I will.

I would definitely like to try the linear throttle that the other person posted a page or two back.

Do you have a recommendation of where to start?

Like should I start with 1.0? or skip straight to 2.0? Which 2.0 if that is the case lol

    Thanks

What @Shellshock said. Anything 2.0 to start. Give it at least a tank or two and see what you like. Then, flash something else for a tank or two to see if you like it better.

Going with premium. What about for the options. Should I just start with the BaseOL?

Exactly. With so many tunes provided by @OVTune , it is better than going to a dyno. You have choices and preferences to feel out.

Flashed 2.0 for 04B02 last night, have to say I was expecting more of a difference. With the advertised peak gain of around 20whp, and the peak difference of 60whp, I was expecting quite the change. I've only got 15 miles on the tune (drove to work this morning) but honestly couldn't tell much of a difference other than some weird shifting in the first couple miles while it adjusted, hoping it settles in to be more exciting.
Also, I thought I remembered redline had been moved to 7000rpm? My truck still stopped at 6200rpms like it was hitting a brick wall.

Is there a way to verify the tune was actually flashed to the truck? I'm almost wondering if it didn't succeed... it claimed it succeeded, after the long "loading bar". I successfully reset AT and LV.

Guess I need to update to 04B04 and flash the correct tune pack for the updated ECU and hope for more "wow".

There is no way to verify other than reflashing. Look for that "Flash Successful" in the Flash Tool.

Some folks just don't feel a difference. You might be in that group? Of course, give it another go and more time.

Those first miles after a Reset are wonky. You just gotta ignore those and power through.
