For sure, i remember @TacoSTIG doing it, didnt seem like it caused too many headaches. I'm debating on having a shop do it, especially if something goes haywire then they will fix it for.

Main reason im ready to regear is i just bought a brand new travel trailer! 2021 jayco jayflight slx baja 184BS picking it up in a few weeks

For the Icon rebuilds here is the video I followed

The actual process is super easy, just getting the springs off and nitrogen charge are the issue. The small spring compressors you can rent at O'Reilly's aren't going to do it, you need something heavy duty like the wall mounted Branicks, especially with 700# springs. This was the spendy part for me, I ended up paying an hour of shop rate at Torfab to have them use their Branick to remove and then install my new springs when I was done.

To drain the nitrogen I just stuck the fill needle in the fill fitting and let it bleed out. If you are careful you could probably loosen the fill fitting and let it bleed out but I would be worried about it shooting off. I was able to get a motorcycle shop to recharge them for me for like $50, a little excessive for a 2 minute job but I just needed them done so I could put them back on. If I had wanted to wait for the opportunity and be a little sneaky I could probably have brought them in to work on a weekend and done it myself.

I did some horse trading with @Usethe2nd so not sure what the oil and seals cost. Actually, don't buy any oil, I have plenty left over. I have a about ~3/4 gallon of icon oil left.

I contacted probably 4 different shops, and the only one to get back to me was SDHQ and they were able to get anything I needed icon related to do my rebuild. It was $60 total for (4) both valve shim stacks in each shock. 2 compression and 2 rebound, one of each in the shock if you're looking to replace/revalve while you're in there.

Any questions just let me know, I think you have my number.

I don't know why they sell such a big damn bottle of it. I just ended up getting a quart of MIL-PRF-5606 stuff from the aircraft maintenance shop here at the airport for like $15-20. Same stuff we put in the struts on the big jets and it's been just fine. I didn't even use the whole quart.

Does anyone know a shop or someone locally that does 3 piece wheel conversions? Looking to convert a set of BBS LMs to 3-piece and prefer to do it locally if possible.

I think he was just trolling too hard.

Turbos supposed to push almost 400hp at like 6psi? But like 6k or so for the kit. Apparently they're having issues with the traction control turning off under boost though, and it cuts power and there's no real way to turn it off.

I think he meant crawl control not working.

Oh also, a lot of 2020 tacomas are missing the transmission cooler even though they have the towing package. Seems like toyota just deemed it not necessary.

oh nice! shit i wonder if i call wheelers if they will take the gallon of oil off my order and adjust the price.

I can call SDHQ and order up some shim stacks, do i need to be more specific with what i need? or do i just tell them "both valve shim stacks in each shock. 2 compression and 2 rebound, one of each in the shock if you're looking to replace/revalve while you're in there."

You'd probably want to be more specific than that. just saying you need new shim stacks would probably just get you the stock setup.

Try more "I'm rebuilding my shocks and was looking and changing the Compression and Rebound shim stacks to suit my driving style a bit better." Then they should hopefully ask for more info like additional weight, low speed vs high speed, ect. I think there might be a sdhq rep on here who could help....but work computers dont like the whole @ thing. Want to say its SDHQ offroad on here.Though they might not check very often
