Man, don't get me wrong, I freakin' love my Tacoma, but the pics I've seen of the 2021 Frontier look pretty sweet. In fact from what I can tell with the wrap on it, it looks to be a very similar shape as the Tacoma.

I drove a Maxima prior to owning my Tacoma and I loved that car.. was pretty fast. I put about 175k miles on it and didn't have one thing go wrong except an O2 sensor went bad. So Nissan definitely seems reliable in my experience.

I guess for me it will depend on the packages and trim levels. In hindsight, I could've gotten away with a barebones 4x4. I don't use any of the extra OR shit... the locker, MTS, crawl control, etc... I have literally never used any of that shit other than to just mess around and try it out. I've never actually had a NEED to use any of that shit. And frankly, the OR ride kinda sucks on the road at high speeds. You hit a bump and the truck bounces in the air and feels like you'll lose traction. Passengers don't seem to love it. And it's not that I don't push it. I've driven this thing up some nasty roads - even drove it up most of a 14,000ft peak in Colorado. I've made it to high trailheads where the only other vehicles there are heavily-modded lifted jeeps and land cruisers with snorkels. I know there are some serious offroaders here, but for the average person who isn't taking their truck to Moab, most of the OR features are a complete waste!

Anyway, my problem is that to get the truck "loaded" you have to either get a Sport, Offroad, or Limited. Would be nice if you could get the leather, premium audio, sunroof, safety technology shit etc. on like an SR or SR5!

Anyway, I digress. Mainly just curious if anybody in here is even considering the new Nissan Frontier next year. I'll probably wait a couple more years, but I'll definitely be looking at the Nissan, especially if the price is lower for what I need.

I’m about excited about the new Renault Frontier as I am about getting an anal probe. When’s the last time Nissan/Renault has come out with anything worth buying?

I really loved my SV Crewcab 4x4. It was a well built machine, that did everything I ever asked of it.
I had just always wanted a toyota tacoma, I saw a opportunity to get one, when I could get a good deal, and I had the money so I did it.
I am not dissatisfied with either one if them.

I would wait a few years to see if their quality improves before buying one.

More competition in the segment is a good thing. I love my Tacoma but the more options, the higher the bar for Toyota.

I don't have any plans on buying one, but I like checking out new vehicles.
I would prefer the à la carte style of getting options on my vehicle instead of having to get an options package.

My brand new 2018 Pro4X was a flaming POS.

Got rid of it in 6 months, swearing never to darken the doors of a Nissan dealership again.

Yeah that bronco has alot of attention and for good reason

Hard to not look at a production vehicle that can take 35's dual locker with a sweet crawl ratio granny gear like in the 7 speed manual.

Only thing I'd a touch leery about is the TT and doing alot of offroad. I'd imagine with how long the eco has been around it shouldn't be as big of a problem.

    Nope, Ill pass.
It wasnt that long ago Nissan was jacking everyone around over their crap CVT transmissions.
They are hurting for money now because of it.
That new Bronco ? Yawn! I worked for a Ford dealership recently. Ecoboost engines are junk.
    Keep your Toyotas.

if I had to buy a new truck and the Frontier came with manual transmission, 4x4 and no BS pre-collision sensors crap, I'd go Nissan.

Nah, Nissan's aren't good anymore after Renault took them over. Nissan trucks always looked decent but pretty much are just lower quality Toyotas. I would buy an F150 before I bought a nissan
