Color matched grill w/ grillcraft. BHLM and Morimoto Mini HID's Debadged.
Well, this weekend marks my first big mod on my new truck. Attempting BHLM and a HID retro with the morimoto mini's. I already have questions, so I'm starting this thread. Friday night and everything is disassembled, ready to bake the lights to seperate.

I noticed the wiring harness only connects to the drivers side connection to the car. How do I leave the passenger connection? Just wrap in electrical tape and wire tie up out of the way somewhere?

Please post some good night shots once you are all done. I haven't been able to find any good shots of the mini d2s from a tacoma yet. Thanks and good luck this weekend!!! Look forward to your end result.

Yeah, I understand how the wiring works, not a problem there, just wondering what to do with the now unused passenger headlight connector.

Tape it up and don't let the ends contact any metal or water.

done and installed. I was going to wait for my new grill craft in for before and after pictures. It's all in now and looks good! Only problem is that my computer's video card has taken a dive and I"m without a home computer. G/F is getting me a new one for Xmas, so once I get that, I'll upload the pictures and put out a DIY guide to what I did, and what I shouldn't have done. (teaser: I had to spend an extra $300 to fix a fubar)

I used the unused conectors' high pass to a relay that power my Hella FF500s (with 55 watt HID) behind the grille. I wired it up through a switch, so I have control over them, or they come on when my high beams are on.

your pass side plugs stays unplugged, the harness you have will plug into your factory pass side plug, then there are 2 other plugs that go to your ballasts, the plug you are showing is for a different application.

One of mine did this when I first connected them. I bumped the headlight with my hand and it has been working fine since.

Thats interesting. I have read on HIDPlanet that the miniH1 projectors had some problems with the highbeam being stuck but I never heard of the highbeam not turning on.

I am still working on my retro when I have time so I am taking it slow. Do you guys have any output shots of the miniD2s?
