In all seriousness tho I think an outside dog is the only way to keep em out. They can jump most fences and will come in when they think you’re asleep

It’s just a garden, I’m not gonna start sniping deer over it!

Not the garden, but from my garden. Nice little snack.

You’ll only need to snipe one, then the others will see that you’re serious about your garden and leave it be

More onions. Didn’t think to weigh them before I cleaned one basket already. Clean basket was 21 pounds walla walla type. Other basket is 27 pounds mix of walla walla and candy. We chop and freeze them.

Hello all, Just harvested garlic, I usually hang it in the basement and was wondering if any of you have a better method of storing it for long term ? Sometimes the garlic will go bad, dry up. Thnx for any help/suggestion.

I pickle a lot of mine. For cooking/baking purposes the flavor is the same, but it does lose some intensity for sauteed foods.
The bulbs that don't get pickled I hang for a few weeks, then cut the stems off and put it in a paper bag down in the cellar and they usually don't start drying out until April.

Yeah, it does help. Just make sure they're 'cured' properly from hanging first or they can get moldy

Just FYI, I know first hand that Rabbit Guard fence does not work, I replaced it with chicken wire fence.

I don’t know I bought a house last year, years prior I just planted enough for me the rabbits and deer and this year I’ve only got a small plot and four times as many rabbits, put up rabbit fence and haven’t ever caught one or seen evidence of one eating cabbage or beans or any thing else, might just be mine but I don’t know the fence at least deters them

Can you share more pictures of that cultivator? I have one sorta like it but it’s a single wheel with only one cultivator.

I’ll have to get a picture of it and post it.
