I saw 13 at the same time. @Gritto invited me to a party at his house. I showed up and decided to look through the window first to check out the vibe. There were 13 dudes in the living room dancing with their shirts off. Does that count as naked? If not, I can go further into the evening.

    Story time.

This is of course instantly recognizable as an old schoolhouse, approx 120 years old.
I hope it gets renovated and repurposed.
Many like this have been saved, turned into apartments or offices (particularly school district offices).
I'll take pictures of some of those when I think of it.

Modernist architects liked to tout "form follows function".
Yet they manage to create eyesores.

In this style of building, form most definitely followed function, without being ugly.
This one has seen better days, but it used to be lovely.

Rather tall in relation to its footprint, because heating was by coal furnace (in the basement) and convection. No ducting.
Notice the substantial and elegant brick chimneys.
The solid mass of the building's brick masonry moderated temperatures.
    Large windows for natural light.
The other (south) side has many more large windows

Not to idealize the past, but I think small neighborhood schools were better for elementary level.
Pupils in small towns could walk to school.
Now there are fewer, larger schools, and most kids are bussed.

    Per the poll:

I turn BOTH my head and the taco sideways.

That way I only have to turn each 45 degrees.

Im fat, and efficient when it comes to eating.

Just in case Bree is down, I'm going to go ahead and get my pleated, khakis short-shorts dry cleaned and pressed, along with my wife beaters and Hawaiian shirts. My penny loafers could use a quick polish and I'll need to pick up some new cigars.

Anyone know where I can buy Worther's candies in bulk?

    That's a problem.
