I went with the plate for added rock deflection (again lots of gravel in my tires every morning once I hit pavement!) and figured it didn't hurt for the rocker panel:bananadance:

I'll go snap a photo or two, I need to go refill coffee cup anyways, plus it's only like 87/feels like 98 currently:bananadead:!

Huge part of why they're on my truck. I'm like 8 miles off the interstate, so I got tired of the rock slams under the frame at 78mph

When I have to air down (aside from beaches) I'll just twist on the tire deflators and start unscrewing the flaps (if I didn't remove them ahead of the 2 hour drive to the mtns)...not as big a deal on the trails.

Re: Rokblokz mudflaps. They work great. I wish I had a picture of the difference between my truck and the others while wheeling at Chris' house (3pooches). Everyone else had mud slung up to the roof. My truck was relatively clean. I was surprised. I think they're stiff enough to deflect rocks as is. My meaty tires pick up gravel from my driveway all the time and stay in the treads for a while. They sling out around 30 mph and they've never hit the truck.

I had to modify a bracket in order to pull the flaps away from the front tire, but it was a simple process. I'm determined to keep them on the truck!

Yeah I pulled the OEMs when I was airing down and I just have not put them back on. I think the trucks look better without them? At least mine does. Just peeved at the fact the fuckin' thing left a fairly deep "scar" on the flare where each mounted up, so I got that prattling around in my brain.

I definitely will! He never responds to my texts anymore. Might just have to have this meetup with @bbq4133 in his driveway!

(or maybe at the Safeway around 530pm ? )

There was another fairly popular company I was looking at--Redgen or something like that--but these Rokblokz come up way more frequently. Appreciate the input!

He's too busy with that court-ordered peewee hockey coaching. His first day went terribly when he drove his limousine out on the ice. One of the moms got SUPER pissed. I give it 3 months 'till they're bangin' though. Charlie could really use a good role model in his life.

So after much trial and error I finally have working Techstream and OBDII dongle. Third or fourth time's a charm, I hear. For a considerably lower fee than the dealer charges, I can make some things happen for yous guys. The fee is only to assist me in offsetting the costs in getting this to work. The major tasks I can perform are: TPMS sensor reentry (be sure you have the codes), new or used key programming (a used key requires the purchase of a token to clear all keys out of the ECU), and brake bleeding (for the ABS module). There's a couple of other small changes I can make for the 3rd gens. If you can find a DIY for other changes, I can do it. DM me for additional details.

I feel like I know the answer to this, but what about reprogramming tire size?

I don't know it that's possible through TechStream. If you can find information on it, I can more than likely do it. Only option I'm aware of are those correction box things.

I am considering modifying my bracket angle to pitch them back, aka "wind swept", especially post CMC, but I haven't even put back on the fender trim, let alone the rokblokz post SSO hybrid bumper...so yes the rocks hitting the truck has returned and reminds me I need to get to putting them and the flare trim back on!

Pretty sure it can't be done through TechStream, hence the aftermarket add-on part to get accurate mileage, mph & mpg.

I'd love to be proven wrong though!

I bought some stainless brackets from Amazon to replace the L-shaped ones the flaps come with. I think all I did was trim them down a little and enlarge two holes. I was able to use the well nuts and everything. The brackets pulled the flaps back out of the way and even my meaty tires don't rub at full stuff. I can link to the brackets if you're interested.
