how much did you end up taking out of your fenders and flares? Yours looks like the perfect amount of trimmed without being overkill. Finally joining team 35’s this week!

Any chance you'd be willing to post some pictures of the inside of the wheel well? I'll be honest, I've been in this truck 11 years and I'm kinda ready for 35s. I've been avoiding cutting the fenders/flares for quite some time because I don't think I have a good understanding of how the fender liner would reattach once the mount points are gone. I'm quite skilled with a dremel and a cutoff wheel so that's not the issue. I really just need some guidance before I tear into it and cut something I should have left! :D

Right now I'm on BFG KO2 34/10.5/17 tires on stock wheels. I'm convinced that's the biggest you can fit before the cutting starts. They just barely graze the mudflap at half lock. No cab mount chop required. 2.5" Accutune Fox DSC lift with Dakar pack in the rear.

I took about 2” off the flares and 2.25” off metal fenders. I wanted the front flares to line up perfectly with my bumper, so that’s what I went with. I’m very happy with how it turned out.

Question for the technique you guys have used for liners. I cut my fronts a few weeks back and left tabs.
    DF039B6F-6AC4-40B4-9284-0987D9010443.jpg
I also made a little aluminum bracket for the front red arrow to connect the flare to the fender and used a bolt at the rear red arrow. Should keep the flares on and support the clips

my questions is what process are you guys using the fit the DIY liners. Drill a hole in the tab, mock cardboard? Drill and pray? Try and mark with blue tape? I could keep going, but trying to pick some brains.

35s are next, but want to get my liners out of the way.

Everyone’s trucks looking good. Here’s some pics of the extras I added to keep the flare more secure. Saw it years back one someone else’s build 5E39738D-32C1-4D75-ADDE-822DC53EF990.jpg

I feel like I’ve cut a lot away from the cab mount, hammered the pinch weld and I’m still getting some rubbing at 80-90% lock in reverse. Is there a specific alignment that would help pull the wheel forward just a bit? Any pointers?

Looking good, man. I used small self tapping screws to attach liner to fender well/firewall. A little nerve-wracking, but I have no issues. I drilled holes in the tabs, cut thin rubber and plastic sheeting to make liners, and screwed/bolted them on. It's worked great so far. Check the link below:

I've got 315/75r16 Kanati Mud Hogs in my garage right now. Going to cross my fingers and hope I don't have too much issue running stock wheels 16x7 with a 1.25" spacer. Already have SPC uppers, stock lowers, 4.88s, Headstrong 2" coils, 5100s. Dakar HD and Fox ext. travel IFP rears.

Stock LCAs. All-Poo uniball ucas. Got an appointment at an off-road shop next week. They’re good with aftermarket lifted Toyota’s and caster so fingers crossed.

I think right now they’re 3.4/3.2 from a shit firestone alignment months ago.

Seems to be a popular trend. The 3 was good for 285s and the ‘best’ Firestone wanted to do. They advised me it was “too much” and they would only go to ‘OE’ specs.

A couple inches. About 2.25" in the front and about 1.5" in the back. I was wheeling my truck pretty hard last year.
