    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

I was actually thinking about putting a 14 inch Magnaflow on the truck anyway. That would move the tip quite a bit back, because it's much smaller than the stock elephant sized muffler.

Tore apart the passenger front suspension searching for the squeak (slow speed big hit/pothole/bump -> squeak). Took off the SPC UCA, inspected the ball joint, cleaned and greased. Some weird pitting... The grease between the washers/bushings was pretty gone or dried out. Greased everything with one of the recommended greases per SPC. Slapped it all together, torqued to spec. So far so good, we’ll see.

I didn't know these were a thing. Might save my ac line a bit.

The facebooks will tell you different...

    Need some HELP!!

Ok so this is totally on me but i went ahead and started replacing the big 3. Along the way i also replaces the main power wires coming out of the fuse box. Its been about a month since i pulled everything out. Finished up tonight, started the truck and it stayed on for 3 seconds and shut off.

    here is what I replaced

    1)block to battery
    2)ground to block
    3) alternator to battery
4)both power cables coming out of the fuse box. Both to battery im assuming?

    where did i go wrong?

I mean maybe for street and fire roads, occasional harder rock crawling. But I'm riding the fuck out of the clutch through here on 5.29's. Can't imagine stall city on 4.10's.

Unless you have a crawl box or something.

Only one goes to the fuse box. The other used to go to your alternator. It used to go Battery > fuse box >alternator. Now that you have one dedicated line to the alternator you only need the one to the fuse box.

Yeah I always felt that a crawl box combined with 4.88's and a manual would be better IMO. Would keep the rpm's lower on the highway. But then I feel forced induction would be needed to get the power back.

But if you play on the rocks, do you really need a SC? I remember @joemauma having a SC. He was also on 40s and tons.

Right there with you, steep city streets in 1st with an MT sucked with 4.10s at 285s. Stoked to be slower than ever on the trails with my 4.88s but already realize I should have waited and gone 5.29 with 35s...

BTW that video just led me to your jerry can/cv holder, super dope and clever. Adding that to the list for whenever I get around to relocating the rear shocks.

Same. 4.88s are perfect with the M/T & 285 but not enough for 35s off-road IMO. Now that I have a DD I wish I would have gone with 5.29s.
Rather than regear to 5.29s I now figure I’ll just save a bit more and do a crawl box when the time comes

Crawl box seems to be my go to as well. Regearing to 5.29s would be more dough
