Academy is stripped unless you're talking about Waco. Weber's has always had a bad selection of ammo, unless they carry good stuff at their range.

I don’t foresee that happening if I ever get another bolt action more than likely will be a .308.

 

.308 is definitely cheaper to shoot. Wanna learn to shoot long range together?

 

We can go in on ammo but I’m not looking to buy another long range weapon currently.
Before the head trauma I was fairly proficient at it.

 

Also it’d be fun to take the Ar pistol out to distance since that’s what I already have.

 

We can tag team on .30-06.

The M1 Garand I'm accurizing within service weapon competition rules. We need to keep to M1 Garand specific factory ammunition or handloads for it.

The Savage I'm building as a budget 1000m gun, and currently I want to bed the stock and get a Vortex 3-18x44 Strike Eagle with EBR-4 (MOA) reticle and 30mm Badger Rings. Maybe a Timney trigger.

 

I know what ammo to use in it and with a 1-4x24 and that BDC, we can push it to 500m pretty easy.

 

Count me in, I’d like to be able to take .223 out to 400.

 

Me, too. I've only shot area targets at that range. I'd love to push the limits and shoot point targets.

I want to stretch the legs of the US Rifle, Caliber .30, M1 with iron sights, too. I'm shooting for 2-3 MOA with irons and surplus/surplus-spec ammo.

 

They have .30 m1 at academy in Waco nothing else we shoot.

 

I'm starting to think we should buy ammo in Waco lol. They have what we need, usually.

Cool. JT Sports, in Copperas Cove, is my local source for military surplus. I was getting 7.62x39 for slightly more than online, they stock reloading supplies and Chinese-made firearms accessories like stripper clips and slings.

I'm buying PPU .30-06 M1 spec ammo from them because they are the same as online prices ($16-ish dollars per box of 20) for the PPU M2 Ball.

I've been shopping there since 2013.
