An old coworker / friend of mine makes them. Pretty great right?! https://tytanium.bigcartel.com/

Just joined the club.. for a decent deal on a used one off FB Marketplace. So far so good. Should probably put some seam sealer on and find something to restore some faded spots (nothing too bad). Any recommendations?

I’ve heard convertible top restoration kits work well on the material

Deployed the tent accessory for the first time, let my wife and daughters have the camper to themselves. I like it. It'll be useful for times with just me and the dog when towing the camper might not be desirable.

So I’m pretty cheap/pretty broke. I love my SofTopper but kinda miss having a rack to carry my kayaks. At some point I’ll probably spend a grand on a fancy rack that’s made to go around the SofTopper, but my buddy had this one that came off his F150 for $50. Mounts up pretty good under the SofTopper rail. It’s quite a bit taller than I was hoping for, but I’m hoping that will allow me to fold the Topper up. I’ll try that tomorrow.

Can you move the softopper clamps closer to the rack mounts?

I'm sure its sturdy. Seems a little sketch.

The clamp is right in the middle of both brackets on each rack (front and back). I might move them around or order a couple more clamps from softopper

I had that rack on my old truck, it's pretty easy to shorten the legs with careful measuring and a hack saw. They aren't the best looking things but are very sturdy.

Unbolt the crossbars and cut the tops of the legs. You'll need to drill new bolt holes in the legs after cutting. Keep in mind that the feet will end up slightly closer together after shortening the legs. The crossbars will have to be adjusted longer too.

Gotcha. Originally I thought the crossbars were welded on, I didn’t realize til this morning they were just bolted on. That’s easy enough to do. Thanks!

Still deciding on what kind of system I want to mount things around the softopper. Too many to choose from nowadays.

Always good to have options. I had the mobtown one on my truck for awhile. I liked it because it really hugged the topper, and it was “quick disconnect” meaning undo a couple bolts at each leg and the whole rack comes off. Let me dig up some pictures.

Check out the quote below. The reason I sold it because I bobbed my bed so now I have a 5’ bed.

What does the top of that MobTown cage look like? All the website pics show it with an RTT. I realize that’s an odd question

You can kinda see it here. It’s extruded aluminum crossbars. Same kind on the prinsu roof racks.
