When I bought these kings lightly used they had 700x14" coils on it. They rode a bit stiff so eventually, like over a year later, I finally swapped for 650x14" coils. Then I did all this front end work and shaved off another 40 pounds, so I swapped to 600x14" today. Man, it rides like a dream. Just need to check my alignment and good to go. I have 6 threads of preload passenger side and 8 threads driver side. The bed is empty in this pic so once I add a couple hundred pounds of my spare, co2, tools, camping gear, etc. it should level out a little.

A lot of people get hung up on 700x14" being the way to go if you have any sort of weight but that's absolutely not the case. I would only recommend it to someone with 300+ pounds on the front end (combining bumper+winch+front skid).

Swapped my Bestop clamps for this new design. They really clamp down on the side rails to hold it tight compared to the old style. Old ones also scuffed the bedside molled panels as seen circled below.

Are these the same ones @kidsmoke recommended? Thinking about doing this too but I haven't had any issues with the old style.

I attempted to replace my broken converter heat shield.
I removed the old parts and needed help to get the front clamp on. He said the threads were started so I tightened it by hand and the bolt broke.
The bolt was cross threaded. I had to go back to Toyota and buy a new clamp and bolt.

Put the first blemish, that I’m guilty of, on my ‘15 today....1871C829-4C8A-4213-9936-18232B03E5DE.jpgWas helping my mom get mulch for some of her landscaping and took the 4 wheeler to get another shovel. Tried to squeeze between the tailgate and the embankment on an off cambered, weird angle. Looked like I had plenty of room. Unfortunately, my dads brand new can am outlander took the brunt of it. This mistake will cost me a couple hundred dollars. Thinking I will try to get a can of color matched paint just to keep it from rusting. Not too noticeable otherwise.

Just added a little bit of bling by adding a new antenna, AMI Big Stick, 9" that I spotted over at AutoAnything while getting my air filter last week.

Out with the old and in with the new. Diode crapped out in my 100 amp alternator so I replaced it with a remanufactured Denso 130 amp one. $170 and 45 minutes later and no more squealing sound under my hood! Outside of regular maintenance, this is the only thing I've *had* to replace on my 2013 DCSB (she's a hair under 98k miles)

Bought some eye bolts, lock washers, washers and the t-thingy for the rails. Had to cut about 1.5” off the eye bolt for a better fit. Now I can attach my cargo net more proper. Works great when hauling a bunch of tubes to go floating. 3/8 for the bolt in case anyone wants to know. Then hit it with some satin black paint although eye bolts were black, just a little more protection

ok so I can’t turn the picture 180 degrees so now it’s upside down. But you get the point I hope
