My solution to fixing the dent in my bed side was to get rid of the bed and replace it with a camper.

I don't know what y'all did wrong, I got my sorry ass through that and up to the top without denting my shit.

Bash is such a strong word. I think I introduced my bumper to the rock, just for a second. I fixed that whole area (both sides actually) on Niagara Rim in June.

Weird question but does anybody on here have a 1st gen tundra?

I'm thinking about selling my 18, but want to make sure i'm not making a huge mistake. I've always liked them, but would like to check one out in person first.

Ive thought about it, but when I get back to it (Someday) I’m gonna need a truck bed.

I wouldn’t be opposed to the GX470, I am always impressed by Lexus build quality.

My first time I took the route to the right with zero problems. Hit nothing. Don't know WTF I was thinking when I took the route to the left. Bang. Fuck. New bumper needed.

 

It was a sign that you needed HC in your life.

 

Kinda what I was thinking. Just a little sooner than anticipated.

 

I know the feeling. It has helped immensely that my wife was with me and saw that the struggle is real. I said something about using all of my armor and she replied "even the disposable stuff." I was like until she told me to go look at my bumper .

 

I think I’ve gotten to the point that trail damage doesn’t bother me much.

A couple weeks ago I was backing up and glanced down at my gauge cluster.

Everything was dead..temp needle, tach, speedo were all at the bottom.

And that’s when I backed into a tree and put a nice curve in the back of the camper. I was expecting much worse based on how hard I hit it.

So, rather than being upset I was super stoked the damage was minimal.
