I see your lobster and raise you a Louisiana Crawfish boil. Or catfish fry. Or shrimp boil. I shouldn’t do this before breakfast.

I punched the family out of SE Louisiana for vacation, Covid be damned. I figure we’ve got restrictions no matter where we are, may as well make the most of it. Headed up to Hot Springs, Arkansas for the week and it’s been long overdue.

I'm not necessarily a big seafood kinda a guy....though I do love about any kind of shrimp....but that plate does look pretty tasty. I don't mind lobster tail with lots of warm butter with it

Are they dump the lobster on the ground? Does the 10 sec rule applies?

The members of this thread knows I like joking around. This is why I ask no one takes me seriously.

Maybe they like a little extra crunch.

yessir. a) The meat is all encased in shell and approx 220 degrees so nothing can live on it for a bit. b) the 'ground' is granite rocks the size of marbles.

Part of the effect for the vacationers in attendance. They pick their dinnah off ground and eat it, while sitting on a 20 foot cliff overlooking the water the lobsters were pulled from a couple hours before. This is a twice a week occurrence at this campground. That dude in the hat meets the lobsterman at the dock after he harvests the lobsters off the campgrounds waterfront (the guests watch) He loads them into his 1931 Ford Model A Woody, drives directly back to the waterfront and dumps the blue green bugs into a pot of boiling water. 10 minutes later they're dumped on the ground for your gluttonous enjoyment. Pretty sweet experience, particularly if you're new to the whole Downeast gig.

I never seen it being dumped on the ground. Usually I see it being dump on some kind of tarp or on something to withstand the heat.

Been doing some painting and light carpentry on a house on the Maine coast since May. This is the owners 3rd house. One in FL, one in CA and this one. They're living on their 60' boat all summer while the work continues on the house (all trades are on site). Today he was telling me he just replaced the 2 diesel engines on his boat at the cheap cost of 100K. He owns a law firm out in LA.

Love me a good crawfish boil. Was introduced to them while in college down in Pensacola. I get a bunched shipped up here (overnight) each year and put on a boil for friends and family.
