Is a manual Tacoma really “sought after”, rare or more valuable?

I think Ford made a V4 over in Germany for a decade or so.

So, i googled it. There are some interesting cars made with v4. Even russians made "ZAZ" with a v4, interesting.

Wow, that is kinda neat. Wonder if they basically sliced a V8 in half or if it was a clean design.

I'm sure they just halved a V8. Same reason why all the domestic V6s were rough garbage for so long. They were chopped down V8s instead of developed V6s.

Right, the Chevy 4.3 was basically a 350 with 2 cylinders cut off if memory serves me.

Thats what i always heard and been told. I think its not a bad engine at all, besides the horrible fuel economy. The old school push rod design is quite reliable imo.

At work, we have a fleet of 63 chevy/gmc vans and most of them have the 4.8, few have the 4.3. Man these engines take so much abuse. They run on propane/gas and idle at about 1500 rpm every day for about 3-4 hours. Plus they get driven every day. Everything else fucks up on these vans, but having an engine problem is quite rare.

I would feel comfortable having a chevy pick with 4.8L and 7 spd MT with a granny gear.

I wouldnt doubt it. Russians werent very creative when it came to making cars. They copied mostly fiat and some other european brands. They actually looked identical.

The quality was also garbage. I rode in quite a few when i was younger and they are one of the worst car built in the world. Everything broke on these cars. My dad and others always said how unreliable they were. I doubt they are much better now, cool looking though.

New Lada niva suv, that one is actually good offroad, as long as its running haha. Same design for over 40 years. Actually comes with manual locks, mirrors, windows etc, if you would like to choose so.

I know I'd have no trouble selling my 2010 Frontier Pro-4x 6spd, It would probably sell for asking within 24 hours.

You can put the Automatic in 4th or 5th, you didn't have to leave it in drive. The auto takes a little learning to understand as it has various drive modes including manual. On that hill you would leave it in 5, or 4, or you can try both, just don't leave it in D.

Every dealer i've gone to look at these trucks when asked about their trade-in values have told me an automatic will be more valuable to them when selling a used vehicle. I've had both manual and auto transmissions....never had a issue getting a fair trade price with the automatic. Some dealers won't even consider taking in a manual truck on trade.

You can sell for whatever you want. If I really wanted a manual I would pay what is required.

That’s why you give them the option at first. If you don’t like your offer, private sell it. Mine sold 2 days after posting. And that was with multiple inquiries and modifications done to the truck.

I've never had a problem selling a manual transmission. Also had dealers pester me reapetdly to sell to them. It also has something to do with the shape of the vehicle.
