Yeah, I figured. Free spool let's you drag the line out. Turn the lever back to lock and engage gears for winch operations.

There's a planetary and some other bullshit. They're surprisingly simple to rebuild.

Bruh, you are fucking on that touch up prep game. I usually use the last cardboard box from Amazon and acetone for overspray

Let it be known that everyone should know how to free spool your winch

I couldn't help but laugh at a rolled SXS recovery that declined help from our party. Since they were blocking trail we had to sit and wait as they tried to figure out how to use the winch... They couldn't free spool so the guy climbed in upside down to feed line out from the hardwired controls on his dash

 

My favorite is when they forget it's in spool and wonder why winch no worky.

 

The actual bed is rhino liner done by the body shop. The edge I did for the cap is duplicolor bed armor (same shit I used for the Tacoma fender flares)
