Color matching TRD grille badges

The TRD off road has a different grill.

 

Its hard to tell here but every other row is parallel so the surface does vary

I’ll post pictures / suggestions if I have fitment issues on 2020 TRD Off road grill

 

Unfortunately it will NOT fit the 2020 grill . The bolts need to be about a half inch longer as well as the back support plate needs to be almost as wide as the entire badge. Also placement will be limited if you want it to be level based on the slant design of the sides of the honeycomb design.





The easiest option would be to move the mounting bolt where my finger is.. and then make a longer back plate with the new bolt hole spacing.

 

I will also look into some bolt extenders and see if I can make it work in any of the locations.

 

Any idea when you will have white available?

Thanks i really appreciate that. Was thinking it was going to be an easy fix but looks like ill have to buy a 2020 grill to play around with the design. For now ill be putting as not compatible with the grill until i can redesign it.

Anyone that purchased one for that grill please send me a message.

 

That sounds like a plan.. If I come up with a simple "solution" I will be sure to post back here and with better photos what i did.. I may stack two brace bars so that it makes it to the next support area and makes the surface area larger behind the grill.. that and some bolt extenders may do the trick. The brace needs to be longer no matter what.. that is a start at least.

 

Just checked I actually have 1 more. I put it back in stock. Other than that I will probably paint white by saturday.

This is a much better quality one than i previously had on my truck from another etsy seller. This one is also just slightly larger and is also padded. If i could make one recommendation though is just make the bolts a a quarter or half inch longer. My other emblem had bolts an inch longer and worked grear that way and was much easier to install. All in all this looks fantasitc

 

You may be able to make the existing layout work with longer bolts.. about 1/2 in longer.. and a thinner backing plate.

 

Thanks i might be picking up a 2020 grill this weekend to test fitment of the badge. Once i confirm the perfect length of a screw i should have them available for the 2020 grill

 

I noticed also when i installed mine on pro grille that the bolts looked a little short. After tightening them with a wrench there is enough length though.. but another 1/8" or so would be welcomed.

 

Keep me posted.. I'll order the new parts or a fresh order when you get there

 

Good news. Just got a 2020 grill. Hopefully in a few days i should have something that fits it. (Disregard the mess)

 

Glad you got your hands on one. Let me know if you just need a replacement back plate or a a whole new design.
